      More about The Riverside

      In Kendal town centre, The Riverside Hotel is a 17th-century building with a state-of-the-art leisure club. Rooms have river views, and Windermere and the Yorkshire Dales are 15 minutes' drive away. Most of the rooms have views of the River Kent. Features include satellite TV, tea and coffee, a private bathroom and free Wi-Fi. Free parking is also provided. The Riverview Restaurant uses local produce, some of which comes from the hotel’s own Victorian kitchen garden. The leisure club includes a heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, gym and exercise studio. Kendal Railway Station is 250 metres away, and guests are 10 minutes’ drive from the M6 motorway.

      Riverside Kendal”

      Walls in the room were dirty. No ironing board. Lots of chips in the paintwork on the doors / skirting. Breakfast took 25 minutes to come despite only one other person being in. One staff member felt it was part of his role to be sarcastic and derogatory. Bar prices were eye watering Bed was comfy and room nice and warm

      Problems with parking”

      After arriving at 3.30 and booking in we left to meet up with friends and relatives but there were no parking spaces left. A member of staff tried to help. I parked in the street and had to get up early to take a place in the hotel car park.

      pleasant but could be improved”

      The hotel is in a fantastic location within easy walking distance to the centre of town. The pool and spa facilities are an added bonus.

      Enjoyed our weekend break but felt the lounge could do with different lighting to create a more cosy atmosphere as felt and looked just like an oap lounge when we were sitting having a drink.

      Stayed here while visiting daughter in Kendal. Nice location by river - enjoyed breakfast overlooking it. Close to town centre and swimming pool great for relaxing.

      Chambre spacieuse, propre, confortable et contenant tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un bon séjour. Le personnel était aux petits soins, très aimable et avenant. Un pur plaisir d'y séjourner ! Je retiens l'adresse si je dois y retourner et Sinon je la recommande vivement !
