Fantastic getaway!”

The staff could not have been nicer. They were so welcoming and it really made the stay that bit better. I loved the colour of the view and the finishes. We also had great views. The mugs for the tea and coffee were beautiful and there were lots of options for a hot drink. Drinks in the bar were great. Very clean too and staff followed all Covid guidelines. Breakfast was fantastic and included in room price. Powerful shower and lovely toiletries.
The bed was an old pine bed and the carpet could do with being updated in the bedrooms. The bathrooms were a bit dated too and I was looking forward to a bath however was a shower cubicle. These are small things but felt they would help in improving.

Had a fabulous stay at The Royal Oak Hotel.. The Hotel’s location is perfect, a minutes walk from the beach in the pretty fishing village of Cullen we were greeted with a warm smile and instantly felt very welcome. Our room was beautifully clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The food here was fantastic with service to match, dinner could not have been better. We had a very peaceful night sleep and a fantastic breakfast in the breakfast room.

Fabulous week at the Royal Oak Hotel”

The room was spotlessly clean with plentiful supplies of tea, coffee etc. The shower was good and bed was comfortable. Lovely views. All the staff were brilliant and did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We ate in the restaurant every night and the food was excellent. Breakfasts were superb. Many thanks to Caroline, Brenda, Heather, Jamie and all the other staff.

Excellent hospitality”

The Hotel was located right beside Cullen bay beach excellent base for exploring Cullen and all the other fishing villages along the coast. The staff where all very welcoming and friendly this really does make the difference to your experience, we where travelling with a baby and the staff could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We will definitely be back to stay in the future.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The location was perfect, the hotel itself was clean, well presented and the owner and staff very friendly and efficient. Could not and would not fault anything. They let us put our bikes in their shed. Brilliant time spent here.

Hotel very welcoming, weather and food amazing and beautiful costal walks.”

The attentiveness of the staff was superb. The hotel were very aware of food intolerances and were able to accommodate our gluten free requirement - much appreciated. Excellent choices for breakfast, generous portions and all freshly cooked. The hotel was situated a 2 min walk from the beach and a good centre for exploring the Moray coast.
We were aware that the hotel fronted the main road but the noise from the heavy lorries thundering past was noticeable. If we returned we would ask for room 3 at the back of the hotel.

Excellent, would recommend the Royal Oak to anyone wanting a getaway.”

Breakfast was excellent, staff were very accommodating considering the social climate at the moment. Evening meals were always superb, so much choice and not enough days to try everything on the menu. Room was very comfortable, with consumables supplied in rooms.
