Not what I expected”
The hotel is undergoing renovations and meant the status of the facilities were not great. Also, no breakfast was offered but there was a pub below the hotel.

I probably should have got to this review sooner given the impact it had on setting up our weekend. We dived locally and headed up the night before to take the edge off my partner's first time at Capernwray. From the first phone call, to walking through the door and the multiple interactions during the stay - friendly, engaging yet non-intrusive genuine people who work there. Helpful to a 'T' with no hidden agenda. We're going to use it as our preferred choice for every dive weekend up that way on probably just for the warm welcome and staff. Clean room, comfy beds, generous amenities and superb value. Can't wait to go back very soon - Dale & Emma
