Great location and new hotel!”
Stayed there for 6 nights and the location is unbeatable. St. Pancras Station is across the street and the tube is King’s cross which is literally less then 20 steps away. It’s a new hotel so everything is clean and fresh. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The hotel has a retro 70s vibe and it’s a cool experience hanging at the bar or restaurant with a chill crowd

Working Hard to be Trendy”
Great location, good sized room with a lot of attention to being trendy (designer furniture, CBD in the minibar, interesting colors, loud music in many places) though other parts were more worn/ordinary. Bed was good, older building so a warren's nest of small, narrow corridors. Checked was not 5 star. Polite but a bit distracted and nonchalant , so fine but could have been smoother, more "high touch".

Overall, this hotel is great; it is in a brilliant location literally a stones throw from St Pancras station. It has great bars on site and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but have big full windows allowing a lot of light into the rooms, great tv and the room amenities were a high quality (Bodem kettle, davines toiletries etc) My only niggles would be noise; kept awake in the evening by police sirens. I appreciate a hotel cannot control external noises but you can soundproof rooms enough to help with it. Also, as lovely as the furnishings were quality wise, the table felt too big for the room size. Also…and I know this is subjective …the decor…the whole hotel is decked out in really dark browns/reds/blues with a 70’s feel…maybe just a tad too far?! The hallways just felt super dated as opposed to retro chic (which I guess was the intention)and the colour scheme in the rooms followed suit. The dark bathroom gave no light and felt dingy. The red and blue bedding gave a bit too much of a nod to a certain budget hotel chain (tlodge) for a 5 star hotel.But I understand that most of this is down to personal taste and others may love it!

Do not book a windowless room”
Ac was broken the entire weekend I was there; windowless room was dark, dated and awful! No outlet in the bathroom. Friendly staff but rooms are definitely not worth the price

Interior room”
It was the firstborns in my life that I stayed in an interior room. I would believe that hotels didn’t have rooms without windows, but The Standard does. Even if it is supposed to be a 5 stars hotel. Decoration is not at my taste, but that is very subjective. Just across the street is King’s Cross.

Beyond standard experience ”
Best decision to stay at the standard London. Great beds- we did the xl king room - bedding and pillows fabulous. Good sized bathroom with separate toilet room. Bonus points. Best of all exceptional customer service. First time my teens did not ever complain. It’s super stylish but they’ve got exceptional service so well worth the money. Location right across from pancras Eurostar and the tube so it’s great for hopping to and from Paris. Leo the GM is fabulous. He is a star. Made us feel at home. Princess at reception -she was fabulous. And Abeen the concierge was amazing with helping us sort out our London reservations and flights. We loved it so much we stayed at the standard twice during our London trip. Best decision. Highly recommended

Beautiful design, helpful staff, shower small , location good for trains but bad for cafes / restaurants”
The design of the hotel is pleasing, puts you in a good mood. The bed is super comfortable and big. Cupboard is small, meant I had to put my luggage on the small sofa area - taking over a lot of the room. Shower stall was too small for me (185 cm) requiring some discomfort. Location (kings x) is fantastic for access to transport to get around London. But the cafes and restaurants around the hotel are either all chains (Costa etc) or pubs serving bland food for train travellers. Needed to get away from hotel to get decent food.

Room had no windows”
Windowless room, not worth the price. The bathroom drains were also stinking and kept me up during the night. I was offered to swap rooms if I would pay a significant sum more. Very disappointing compared to my last stay.

High overpriced and not value for money and as stated”
Its an odd room and even the hotel was drab and spooky and not even basic amenities for such high price point . except for vicinity to Kings cross station, no redemption
