Friendly and accommodating staff”
All the reviews here are true! First hand experience, very good and accommodating staff . The girl at the lobby named Ella has a sunny bright smile. We checked out earlier because of the changes in our flight schedule to the earliest time, but still, another staff, a guy at the lobby accommodated us, he served our breakfast though it's not yet serving time and even reheat the leftover sandwich that we had taken out from a restaurant the day before so we can still enjoy eating it nice and hot. The location is also good, about 20-25 minutes from the airport, very near to convenient stores and other essentials. The rooms are very simple, much to my liking, and so nice and clean. Would love to stay here again if will get another chance to tour Davao City again. A million thanks! My friend and I really enjoyed our stay (both first timers in Davao City).

We check-in late but the staff was very accommodating to us. The receptionist even helped to carry our luggage to the room. The room is very clean (no smell on the linens and towel provided, no dust, hair etc. left from previous tenant, toilet is also clean). The ambience of the room is white which is very relaxing and the aircon is very cold! Wifi is also fast. We got a complimentary breakfast of bread and coffee. They helped us as well in booking a taxi going to the airport. We will definitely book in this hotel again in the future. Kudos to the staff!

Great value for money”
Split type aircon, hot water and spacious for the price. Staff is very accomodating. Breakfast is only egg-desal and Kopiko but I would say that's clearly a freebie thrown in for that price anyway. Highly recommended!!! This will be our new go-to when staying in Davao

Very clean! Accommodating staff”
The place is great as its walking distance to everything. They have Very clean room and the mattress is so comfortable. I stayed here with my family and we enjoyed our trip in Davao including our stay in this hotel, although the breakfast is so simple (bread and coffee) its enough for early morning light meal.

Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms”
The front desk and other staff were all courteous. It's in a peaceful residential area but also close to the commercial areas right in the city center. Tricycles and taxis pass by in the adjunct street. Wifi worked well and fast up to the 4th floor, however there is hardly any cellphone signal nor wifi in the lobby. The room was large and very clean, bathroom also very clean and the hot shower worked well. Only bad point is that the walls are thin so you can hear even people just passing by in the hallway, and the only window is a large glass sliding one facing the hallway and fronting the bed so if the light is on outside, you will not be able to sleep in complete darkness.

It is a great place to stay when you are in the city. It is walking distance to restaurants and convenient stores. One can opt to use grab food app as well. I love that our room was clean and quiet, helped me relaxed.

I am from Canada and am traveling on a budget so for me this has been the best hotel I've stayed in out of the 5 or 6 others during my times visiting here. The rooms are very clean and very spacious! The people are helpful and genuine and the location is perfect!

Ecstatic Stay at the Strand”
If you're looking for a budget friendly stay in Davao, I recommend The Strand Suites and Dormitel. We had a very relaxed and safe stay here, the staffs are approachable, polite and kind. The place is neat and the surroundings is a quiet one. Hopefully, if we're going to go back in Davao, we'll still choose The Strand Suites and Dormitel to stay.

Nice firm mattresses. Very hot water. Spacious room. Quiet neighborhood. Pretty good wifi. I was able to stream and gave video calls easily. Access to a refrigerator and kitchen in the lobby. Close to a major street with big malls nearby.

The dormitel is in good location, near to everyone. The good thing is, on a lower rate they still manage to offer free bread and coffee for breakfast. Also, the staff are so welcoming and easy to speak with. All in all it’s 10/10.
