My room, The Loft, was reached by steep outside metal stairs. The door handle was hanging off. Although there was a TV it only showed 'no signal'. One bedside lamp was tipping sideways, the other I could not get to turn on. Although the pub advertised food seven days a week, there was no food. The waitress told me I could get Chinese take out near by and bring it back to eat. The proprietor recommended another pub a little distance away where I had an ok meal. To add insult to injury there was no hot water in the morning when I wanted to shower/bathe. Altogether a very unsatisfactory situation.

REVIEW OF ACCOMMODATION AT THE SWAN INN, Stanwell. 3rd December 2022”
On arrival, we waited nearly 10 minutes before the manager appeared to book in and take us to the room, which we found to have: * Two single beds as booked, which were comfortable. The bed sheets appeared clean, although they both had discolouration marks on them. * There was a table, on which there was a basket of coffee/tea/sauce sachets, but no kettle or crockery. * Also on the table was a microwave with a cup in it, half filled with water. This appliance looked unsafe. On the wall above the microwave was a small TV, but no remote control with it. There were no towels provided, until requested, when we were given a threadbare one. * The decoration throughout was tired and of poor standard. * The Yale lock on the door worked, but the door handle was hanging loose. * There was no waste bin and negligible clothes storage. No cupboard or wardrobe, just some hangers on a rail above the head end of one of the beds, which would have been unusable. We knew we had booked a room with a shared bathroom, but there were only two toilets (one of which had a shower) for the occupants of five rooms. The toilets were situated in a small hallway and were well below safety and hygiene standards. There was a sink in the hallway for washing up. The toilet with the shower had a dangerously slippery floor when the shower had been used. * The toilet seat was not the right size and the seat and lid were laying on the pan and were completely separate from it. There was one roll of toilet paper and the sink was grimy. * The toilet without the shower, which did have a basin, did not have any toilet paper in it at all and had a faulty sliding lock. Overnight, there was a noisy party downstairs, with loud voices and music until 4am. The noise then diminished but voices and music continued until 6am. In the morning, on departure at 10.30am , there were no staff on duty to hand the towel or key to. Another resident who was also leaving said he would leave them on the stairs for us. NO

Perfect place to stay before flying out of Heathrow”
I've read some nasty reviews of this place, so thought I'd share my positive experience. This place was GREAT value for money, and I was really impressed by how accommodating the staff was–the checkin time listed on Agoda was wrong (Agoda listed the checkin as after 12pm while the hotel lists it as after 2pm), so I ended up arriving a few hours early. I had to return my rental car less than an hour after my arrival, so I was a bit concerned about not having a place to leave my things. But the staff immediately prioritized cleaning my room and got me set up within 15 minutes of my arrival. I really appreciated that they took the time to do that. The location is also fantastic–there's 24-hour bus access to the airport about a 4 minute walk away from the hotel, so it was really easy to get to the airport before my flight (I departed around 5:30am). Since I was leaving early, I was a bit hesitant to stay at a location with an attached pub, but it quieted down very early into the night and made for a very pleasant stopover. A word of warning though, for the uninitiated–if you book one of the single rooms with a shared bathroom (as I did), the shared bathroom is not ensuite, and reminds me a bit more of a hostel situation than a hotel. This is clearly indicated in the room description, but I saw some nasty comments about this and wanted to clarify so people aren't surprised. All the shared facilities worked fine (shower was functional and warm, toilet flushed, etc.), but as it's shared space, it wasn't perfectly clean. If this bothers you, consider booking a room with an attached bathroom instead. I'd absolutely stay here again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS”
I Cannot Emphasise how terrible this accommodation is. EXTREMELY Rude "Manager" and basically a bed in a damp cupboard with filthy shared bathroom facilities. If you must stay here then I would say do NOT leave any belongings in the room while you are out as the so called cleaners will remove and you wont get your belongings back until you go to check out then get accused of Trespassing on the property.. So I Checked into the room in the afternoon, dropped off my overnight bag and collected the key then headed to work Came back after work to find my door unlocked and all my belongings removed from the room. No Staff at all on site and were not answering the phone so I had to contact the police. When I spoke to the so called manager (if you can call him that) in the car park as felt safer staying in my car then in in the room and the next morning he said the cleaners must have taken my belongings and has no access to their cupboard to see if my belongings were in there. The Police suggested that he checks the CCTV Footage to which I was told by him only the police have access to the CCTV then changed the story and said it takes 5 hours to download the footage. When It got to 11am which is check out time the manager came out with all my belongings saying that the cleaners took them by mistake although no staff while I was there came onto site so I know that was all a lie. When he presented me with my belongings I stated I was awaiting the police to attend as something was not right and wanted them to investigate, he then went on to say "You have your belongings and you are no longer a concern GO AWAY and get off my property" then accusing me of trespassing on the property and said I will get a ticket, he also said I was late checking out and would be charged even though he had no interest in collecting the key off of me. Couldn’t even bring myself to stay a single night. the floor of my room had several sticky spots, the sheets obviously hadn’t been changed for at least the past several guest. bugs flew out of the toilet and the bathroom was over all just nasty and lots more

Very basic. I asked for a towel so l could take a shower. I was told one hour. Never received it and gave up. The floor in the bar was so sticky that l had to keep lifting my feet or they would have stuck. The place is a good location for Heathrow if you need somewhere for one night. The price is fairly reasonable given the location, however, this is reflected in the service you get - poor.

Group of 3 travelling for work, beds all damp, bitten by bed bugs 5 times in half an hour of being in the room! Dirty black used cotton buds left on the side! Just grim. Avoid at all costs you be more comfortable sleeping in your car!

Do not bother coming here, when I booked online it gave the option of a check in time, but when my husband and I arrived, the person "in charge" had a very bad attitude, he told us the the bar shuts at 10pm, but as we had a long way to travel we didn't arrive until 11pm. Why give a check in time option. Took me ages to get his attention, if I hadn't or if he had already gone, then we would of had to sleep in the car 😡

Cheap for short stays before flight”
The Standard Single option actually seemed capable of sleeping two people at a push. I didn't need anything fancy for only 2 nights and I wanted to be near Heathrow airport for my return flight, so I'd thought this cheap hotel would work okay for me, but it actually had a few downsides. A big minus was the weak and unstable Wi-Fi, which kept disconnecting, so I had to rely on 4G most of the time. The poorly ventilated room only had the basics: a heater, desk and chair, small drawer, electric kettle, TV, no AC, no hangers, no dryers. Irons and iron boards are available on request. The window couldn't be opened all the way. It overlooked the street so I couldn't avoid traffic noise and some 90's music playing around the corner during the weekend. The TV remote seemed dead and I couldn't figure out how to turn the TV on manually but I didn't bother to ask. The door handle was broken, but the door was still lockable. Prepare for a loud bang if you let it shut by itself. Inconsiderate guests woke me up during the night this way. The shared bathroom looked dingy; no one seemed to care to clean it up after themselves. It had hot water all right, but it was hard to get the right temperature. Handwash and toilet paper were the only thing provided, so bring your own shampoo and body wash. I had to ask for a bath towel, not sure if it's only provided on request. The receptionist was a friendly bloke, though. This might as well be a 1.5 star hotel. All in all I wouldn't recommend it for long stays or families if you want a clean, quiet, comfortable environment, but the price is unbeatable for solo stays.

Kettle was on the floor. No towels in the room. No cup left for . Wrong remote for TV. . Wafer thin walls could hear people in next room most of the.night . Room 6 Overall wasn't what I was expecting. Wouldn't book again .
