The resort looks like abandoned place...”

Staff is ok. Food taste ok too.

Very disappointing accomodation. Signage is too small to see that is why you will get lost looking for the place. The resort is locked and contact person in the resort is not answering. If you will asked people nearby they all thought the resort was already closed and no longer operating. The kubo is swaying when you walk inside. Pool has no water and you will be informed by the resort that it is under construction after you made and paid for the accomodation. This resort needs major repair and renovation. Do not booked unless you made occular inspection first. Try to booked to resorts in Lucena or sariaya areas instead.

The Tamarind Tree Resort”

quiet, well-maintained garden, friendly staff, reasonably priced set meal

we were looking for a place to stay near the beach, on our way to visit friends. tamarind tree resort is way off the beaten path, quiet, near the beach, and with well-kept gardens. the food (a set meal which had to be ordered in advance) was tasty, plentiful, and reasonably priced. the one staff person we interacted with was friendly and helpful. however, the roads to that town are terrible and poorly marked, and made the trip much longer than it should have been - it is not an "easy 3 hour drive from manila" as stated on their website. our room, which was listed as "deluxe" was small, the beds were rickety, the shower drain was blocked so water went all over bathroom floor, and we had several trails of ants throughout. the beach was basically unswimmable, and filled with jellyfish. all in all, we were quite disappointed.

Rustic”

Rustic if that is what you are looking for, friendly enough staff, close to beach (but not beachside)

Although advertised as a resort it had no real resort qualities but if a "rough'in it" trip is what you are looking for (with Aircon or without)this is the place. Very poorly build nipa huts that swayed back and forth when you walked across the floor. Door didn't shut all the way so we used a bed to hold it shut. Ants everywhere. But don't get me wrong...this just adds to the "Rustic"ness of the "Resort" hotel. The staff was friendly enough and was very accommodating with meals and guiding us through 3 locked gates to access the beach. Not what I would consider beachside. For what we got the price was about right and it did make us come closer as a family in that we had to work together to survive to down-graded quality of living we enjoy at home. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a getaway from technology and everyday comforts. There was a 19 inch tv that got 2 sometimes 3 channels and the remote did not work but that was not what we were there for anyway. Overall for a "Rustic" vacation getaway place I would give it a 7 out of 10 but for what they advertise it as I would give it a 3 out of 10. They were doing improvement which is great although welding by the pool where my 2 year old daughter was swimming was not so thoughtful of them. We told her not to look at the "BRIGHT LIGHT" but to no avail. We will more than likely stay there again due to location and price and just a short php1,800.00 bamboo boat ride to some terrific scenic beaches. We just will not expect as much from the "resort" this next time...
