Exceeded expectations ”
The rooms are well laid out and comfy. They are tired looking but very clean. The tea and coffee facilities have a good choice i.e carinated, decaf and herbal teas. An iron and board is provided along with plenty of hangers. It's a 5 min walk from Holborn station. It's located near to lots of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The breakfast buffet caters for all, meats,cheeses,yoghurt,fruit,pastries and full English. We would stay here again.

Great bargain for the location”
We stayed at the Thistle for a work conference that suggested a hotel across the street. The Thistle was half the price and, having visited colleagues across the street, the same quality as the other hotel. The staff was great, a wonderful morning breakfast, and a convenient location to the British Museum and the University of London. I would gladly stay here once more.

Stayed at the Bloomsbury Hotel for an overnight stay to see a show. Excellent location to walk into Covent Garden/Drury Lane. We didnt need to get a bus!

The staff at hotel very helpful and friendly. We had a problem with the tv and someone came within 5 minutes, fault was only the aerial lead which had come out. Our room great and the breakfast was really good plenty of choices

Booked under classic room offer. Got a nice big room. Bed and pillows are so comfortable and clean. Superb wide range breakfast. Very friendly staff.

The staff were polite and attentive, and the hotel was clean. However, there was signs of wear and tear all over the hotel. The room was small but comfortable, but the bathroom was in need of an update!

Ok for a bed in a good location ”
Pros: Great location, we went to see a show at the Hippodrome and it was easy to get to via tube etc. Beds were comfy. Cons: Strong damp smell in bathroom, walls had bad damp damage to them in the corridor. Only 2 plug sockets in the bedroom! One had tv plugged into it and the other had a lamp. So charging phones and devices was a bit of a game. Thank God the trains on the way home had plug sockets!

Room was small, basic and very tired looking. BUT it was cheap for a last minute booking over the jubilee bank holiday weekend in London! The breakfast was nice (pretty standard buffet style). Staff were friendly although the receptionist struggled with english which we got around by our writing details down.

The room was very basic , unfortunately for us our view was the air dux system and there was untold pigeon poop outside our window ledge so you felt you couldn’t open the window, the keys to our room hardly worked , so had to keep going to reception, once taking half hour to sort out the mirror in the bathroom didn’t work and was half hanging off. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly. For us it was a one night stay and because we were out for most of that the hotel was ok .

Bargain. 3 rooms 6 of us. Windows old so no double glazing meaning traffic noise. That said I was only disturbed once by a siren. Breakfast was great. Location fantastic. 15 mins to Covent Garden walking.

Good breakfast, WiFi, clean. Room was so small we complained and were moved to another room, but we had to pay an extra £80 for the privilege. Only one lift in the hotel which was often being used by the hotel staff who did not make way for guests.
