The smell is not good in the room. It’s a little far away from old town. But the room is big and can accommodate three persons.

We booked two nights, 3 bedded room to stay in whilst our daughter started uni. The room we were allocated had a badly stained old brown carpet, net and faded pink curtains that looked like an old auntie had lived there, thin, but heavy duvet and well worn old fashioned duvet covers. I trod on a dead beetle so decided to keep my socks on for the rest of our stay! One thin pillow each. The furniture was a mismatch of what looked like cheap junk shop finds. Needless to say, we asked staff if we could change rooms. Having what seemed like 'woken up' the receptionist who stumbled into the reception looking like we'd disturbed him, said he couldn't do anything himself but when I asked if there was anyone I could call he handed me a card. I did manage to change our room...the next one was an improvement as there had been an attempt to update, but still the curtains were falling of its pole, the paintwork was unfinished and there was only luke warm water to shower in.

The room was comfortable but the TV didn’t work, nor could I turn on the heater. I did not ask for help from staff, so it is probably my fault. The shower is tiny. It’s so humid the towels didn’t dry overnight. That’s where the heater would have been nice. The breakfast was serviceable but convenient. Small cafe and Tesco Express are only a block and a half away. So still recommended with these conditions. Very nice and accommodating staff.

I thought B&B meant bed and breakfast ...”
No mention on the booking site of breakfast not being included - so it was expensive for what it was. Well situated and nice room by front door , ideal for people with mobility problems. Hot water would have been nice but after running the tap for several minutes I felt guilty about the wastage.
