Great views!”
Our room had an excellent view of the bay due to us being on the 6th floor. Far enough from the airport to not hear the constant noise but close enough to see planes taking off/landing. We booked our room with the free breakfast every morning. The buffet breakfast was full of yummy foods and the staff was always ready to help. The 3 resturants we tried there had excellent food, (Juliet's bistro, Replay bar, the La Patrona). The grounds and pools were always clean and security was always around. I fully recommend this resort cause it's the best bang for your buck in the area.

First week in St. Maarten....won't be the last”
Stayed for one week at The Villas on Simpson Bay in St. Maarten and it was our first time to this island. While we have traveled to many other places in the Caribbean, we plan to return to The Villas here. The facilities are beautifully kept and the people are the nicest we have ever encountered. The resort is lovely without being pretentious, the rooms are nicely appointed and the views are what you always hope for on vacation. Highly recommend.

Excellent option for St Maarten ”
The Villas are spacious, with gorgeous views over the harbor, perfect for watching the sunset. There’s plenty of space at the many pools, beach and bars. Most of the staff were well trained and happy to help. We liked having a full kitchen to prepare a few meals. We enjoyed everything we ate and drank at the resort. My only complaint was the late check in time and early check out, but fortunately they accommodated us a little bit on both. The other issue was our last night the local nightclub was so loud that we could hardly hear each other in our room across the way! We assumed it would stop at some point but went on until 1 am. If we didn’t have a flight out the next day we would have just gone out but instead we stuck listening to bad old music at a crazy volume for several hours......

Great location, parking a little difficult”
Great location near all the main restaurants on the Dutch side, plus a nice beach and Simpson Bay in front of you. Parking is a little tricky, even in low season...so I can't imagine the craziness during peak season. Restaurants, boat tours, dive shop and even a casino on property, can't be beat!

Junior suite with ocean view”
We book the junior suite with an ocean view. It was great. Full kitchen, dining table and sofa with tv. Also has two twin Murphy beds that fold down out of the entertainment shelves. The bathroom is spacious and both the bedroom and living room have a patio with chairs for six. Nice swimming pool and beach with chairs and umbrellas.

Great Location/ Beautiful renovated rooms”
We really enjoyed our stay here - great view of the area including all of Simpson Bay. Had all new furniture in the room. Very nice and modern. Surprised that there was a charge for the gym at an upscale resort like this. Also on the minus side disappointed by the customer service abilities of the housekeeping staff. They scream at each other up and down the halls with noise heard within the unit when they are working on that floor. Also, they act like they own the elevators and want customers to vacate these so staff can use. On the flip side the staff renovating the building and installing furniture was always friendly and polite plus they always let guests use elevators first and then went on with moving their supplies. Complete opposite of housekeepers!

A bit of mess”
We booked Junior Suit with breakfast for 2p. Our room had 2 queen beds. Buffet breakfast included regular coffee/tea, but we needed to pay $4 for espresso. At dinner, the server brings the bill and confidently tells you to choose one of 3 Tips options - 18%/25%/30%, no matter what the service is… The staff’s conmunication style not really friendly or customer oriented. At breakfast, we were told quite unfriendly to pay for the 2nd person right there due to the registration error and then go back to deal with that at reception. Reseption blamed Customer Service dept and then said to go back to restaurant to get money back. The restaurant said they could not pay back, only to give gift voucher. Mess. To get beach towels, you have to search for a small gift shop, with no signs about this service, quite far from the beach actually.

Horrible Experience - Do Not Recommend ”
Horrible experience, no idea how this place has a 4 star rating. Immediately upon checking in and getting our room I regretted booking two nights at the Villas as Simpson Bay Resort. Room had strange overpowering odor, no possibility to change rooms or upgrade. Oh, can’t forget about the bugs in the room - 3 different kinds my wife and I found within the first 2 minutes of looking at our room. No toothbrush, toothpaste, water or coffee, you know, normal things you get at any normal hotel. Don’t try to sleep before 2AM if you’re facing the water, there is a night club next door which plays music at maximum power all night. Would be an even bigger issue if the bed was at least comfortable but that too is an old spring mattress. Absolutely no information about policy’s (like the Draconian beach towel rule - ie. remember to bring your towel card that they don’t tell you about to an overcrowded “private” beach and then be publicly shamed by staff and questioned if you even stay at the

I would never book the villas at Simpson Bay resort again. We had an unforeseen issue at the airport and we were not able to make it to our hotel reservation. We had paid for our hotel Stay in addition to Daily breakfast For 2. The resort would not credit us any of our payment or offer to rebook for different dates.
