A good little base but...”

I had a single room with shared facilities that was very... cosy but it was the shared facilities that left a lot to be desired! After a long day traveling from the North West and walking around London, I returned to the hotel late with the idea of a warm shower before bed. The shared shower was freezing and upon investigation I discovered I didn't have hot water or heating in my room which meant the entire floor had none and it is the only floor with shared facilities! I reported this to a very stressed looking receptionist who was absolutely lovely! She offered me the key to an en-suite room to use the shower and when I returned the key feeling much better, she even asked if I wanted to stay there for the night but as I had a little electric heater and all my belongings in my room I politely declined her offer but was very impressed and grateful that she offered it to me. She is a credit to the hotel but unfortunately didn't get her name. She worked the night of 19th Feb.

Great Location”

Location is central and very convenient. The staff we met were quite pleasant, and tried their best to accommodate our requests. The hotel, like many small hotels in London area, has no lift. So carrying big suitcases up the stairs was no fun. The day we arrived in London it was 30*C. As such the room was very warm and stuffy. We requested for a fan and got one (rather small but better than nothing). I wouldn't mind coming back here (in fact this is the second time I stayed in this hotel - the first time was better because weather was more pleasant and my room was on a lower floor) because of its central location. If you just need a place to sleep, and don't spend too much time in your room, this hotel is okay. Just don't expect too much. It is not that good, but on the other hand, it is not that bad either.

Great location, very friendly staff”

The area isn't the best in itself, very touristy, but Hide Park is a minute away and so is the underground. You could even enjoy a long walk to Oxford street and beyond. The room was very basic and the shower wasn't great but for the price I paid I got to meet an excellent cheerful, helpful and truly cosmopolitan team. From reception to breakfast waitresses everyone was genuinely kind. The staff are clearly this hotel best asset as well as the nice little patio at the front, but do not expect a lot from the rooms.
