Location review”
Hotel was located about a 12min walk to the station. (600m walk). No restaurants within the area; so if you plan to hang out late in the main city pass 8pm, be prepared to walk from Gora station about 1.2km walk away ( with a bit of steep hills).- it is still walkable and very safe. But I love the overall service, rooms and onsen. Would come back again!

It was a good stay”
It took me some time to choose a Hakone hotel until I decided to stay here. This was my brother and I's first time in Hakone. Overall it was a good stay. Because we stayed here when one of the train was still down due to a typhoon, the location is quite far from everything else but I appreciate the hotel's response to it by providing transport to and from Gora station because from Gora station it was easier to move around. The public onsen is okay there were 2 springs that flows to the onsen one was from Gora spring. For the private onsen, there is only one spring. For both the public and private onsens, dont expect to see any views though. We had a japanese style breakfast. It wasnt a lot but it was good and filling.

In Hakone, there are still many traces of the damage caused by the typhoon of last year, so I am very sorry that I moved in the Hakone area and caused inconvenience. The Hakone Tozan Railway is expected to be restored this November. It is possible for you to enjoy two types of hot springs comfortably, and we are pleased to be satisfied with this point this time. good choice, communication can be improved”
Nice rooms, relatively large for Japan. Note: The hotel is up on the hill, when arriving by train or bus. We tried to call to reserve the shuttle for pickup, english was a barrier and as a result there was no shuttle. Too bad. Everything else works well in the hotel.

Cannot Recommend TKP Enough!”
Let me tell you that I was a bit apprehensive about this hotel because it had no reviews and because we got it at such a great rate - similar to what we'd pay for a 3-star hotel in the U.S. I honestly expected to be told that that price we paid was per person rather than per room and that we owed them three times as much as we had prepaid. I was also nervous because it had what looked like business facililities and so I guessed that they had primarily Japanese clientele and that there would a serious language barrier. Both fears were unfounded. The moment we walked in the door the hotel manager greeted us by our family name and welcomed us in! Every inch of the hotel in and out was immaculately clean and new. We wanted to stay in a traditional Japanese hotel and it was. At the door of the hotel we were asked to take off our shoes, and we were given slippers for the inside of the hotel and bags for our shoes. The rooms had fresh tatami mats and, in the closets, futons and comforters for floor sleeping. The gardens around the hotel were lovely. The onsen was amazing. There is a typical sulphur spring and a gypsum sulfur spring-very hot! For westerners who may feel shy about bathing nude with others, I suggest you take advantage of your jet lag and visit the onsen in the middle of the night. I did at 3 a.m. and I had it all to myself. Our room included a Japanese breakfast. What a wonderful experience! Please note that it is not a buffet, but a breakfast prepared specifically for your party and you should arrive on time. Our meal included Hakone flat fish and my four boys ages 7, 10, 13 & 14 are very picky eaters but they all raved about it! Everything was so fresh and so well executed.

What a nice hotel! ”
TKP is a nice and clean hotel. Although the venue of hotel isn't convenient, but you may take taxi or bus at Gora station up to the hotel. So, I suggest you must buy the transport pass!!!! I had a wonderful trip in TKP. Hope you can too! :)

A tip about the location”
Our family of six took the cable car to Gora and then hiked up the steep mountain about a mile and a half. We are all young and our boys needed the exercise after sitting on trains all day, but I can see that for some it would be a serious hardship. Then we figured out that we could have exited the cable car three stops above Gora, then it's a short walk downhill. Just put the address into Google Maps and it will take you right there. Take note that if you go down to Gora for dinner, the last cable car leaves back up the hill at 5 minutes to 7 pm. We missed it, but it was only a $5 taxi ride back to the hotel.

Nice place to stay in Hakone with young family. ”
Nice and beautiful place, Clean and tidy, they provide you traditional robes for free. They could pick you up from Gora station. Friendly staff. If you need breakfast or dinner, you should book them in advance since hakone is a quite place and there aren't many restaurant around.

Clean and Superb Customer Service”
When we first reach, the shuttle bus fetch us from gora station to the hotel. Staff were friendly and polite, helping us to carry our heavy luggage to main lobby and to the room. Service and amenities were superb and abundant. We get to choose our own yukata and select from a wide variety of amenities and toiletries from the lobby. Room is very clean and big for a couple. TV has lots of shows and even movies to choose from. Other than the location, it's a very good hotel.

PEACEFUL and REMOTE”
Our stay with Hakone Gora was very resting, a bit difficult to go there by foot but not too far from train station and staff were trying their best to speak to us in English. Only Japanese speaker unfortunately. My fiancé is not taking seafood or fish but couldn't change the menu as the cook already set the menu in advance for all the guests (sadly) as the food was delicious. The cook tried to accommodate a bit. They have a playroom for kids (table tennis, soft bowling, darts, mat and so on). They have onsen baths that I used and was only by myself all the times :D so lucky!

We apologise for not be able to change the menu because it was on the day. However, we are glad to hear that it was delicious because we stick to use the local ingredients and food. Two types of hot-springs, namely Gora Onsen and Owakudani Onsen are our pride. Thank you very much for your stay!
Nice modern Ryokan”
We are a family with 4 kids. This Ryokan/ Hotel is pretty modern and excellent facilities: - nice onsen with two different types of bath. And they have all the amenities for you including yukata for small kids - they have even private onsen for hire which is great for families - the half board meals are exceptional. Seasonal offerings and portions are very big - the bus to Gora stations or the Little Prince museum is just outside by the main road Lastly we were wowed by the wonderful staffs! Thank you for making it a memorable stay.

Good hotel environment if want a peaceful vacation”
Dinner and breakfast are delicious. On arrival at Gora station, take the cable car to Keon-Kami station, walk 5-7min to hotel. Onsen is superb.

Misunderstanding about hotel name”
Actually hotel name is LECTORE but it is declared “TKP HOTEL bla bla bla” Therefore it make misunderstanding to baggage carrier, to taxi, to bus driver, to custumers. I wasted time too much to find the name TKP but finally I found it by the name LECTORE with very veryvery small entance of this hotel

Clean hotel but inconvenient location”
The shuttle van picked us up at Gora station and dropped us at the basement car park. It is a short stairs climbing to the lobby. However, it really does matter for an elderly to climb up, especially when you have big lugguage with you. Tthe room is very clean but not as big as what I've expected. They served the japanese dinner and it was really delicious. Average facilities, nothing special with the onsen. Overall stay was still satisfactory.

I absolutely loved this hotel! It was located in a refreshing and full of foliage enviroment. The staff was great and the hotel was comfortable. The hotel was clean and new. Their onsen was the icing on top! I had a great time, wished I stayed longer.

Definitely a keeper. hotel outdides looks very common, but inside is new, very clean and well decorated. very comfortable and quiet. great food and very friendly staff. onsen very quiet and relaxing. Better book their shuttle car if you carry heavy luggages though as is quiet a walk from station. Highly recommend the place

Location of the hotel is a bit far, bit you can walk 6-7 mins from the third stop of the cable car. The room was quite big, very well designed and clear. Their public onsen was great. Overall we really enjoyed the stay ! :)

Staffs are nice and the hotel look clean. The hotel maybe located in a inconvenient location. (The cable car and bus around here are stop operating at around 7-8pm so if you're coming after that time, you might gonna have to climb up...)

Everything seem new. Great bathhouse and Clean room”
Everything seem very new. The bath house is great. Breakfast is great too. However we didnt have dinner and there is no way to get food around the area during peak season. However, the hotel do sell instance ramen for those who miss out the dinner. Bed is comfortable and very clean.
