Great location, clean hostel”
We only stayed one night at this place but the price was really good for such a handy location. We didn't spend any time there except to sleep but our room was nice and surprisingly big, and it was very quiet.

Located near Korea Town (Shin-Okubo) Station. Good value for the location. Beds are comfy and dorm rooms are spacious. Common space has fridge and water filter for hot and cold water. Simple breakfast of toast, jam, peanut butter, eggs and black coffee is provided. Stayed several nights and enjoyed it. Staff is accommodating and helpful!

Everything was good except for the bed space! 良いと思います❗️ベッドの所以外！ This hostel probably isn’t new, so it doesn’t look as good in photos as other new hostels, but it’s in a good location, friendly staff, the pretty spacious common areas, a kitchen space where you can cook, free coffee and free breakfast, and the good and weird looking corridor! Just one thing, My bed was creaky and I felt the spring in it, and hard, my pillow wasn’t comfortable either. and lights came from the curtain so you wake up. This place will be much better only if you fix the beds so every guest can sleep more comfortably.

The walls of the hotel are just too thin. It's just pot luck as to whether or not you get quiet neighbours in the rooms on your level. If you need sleep to enjoy your holiday book elsewhere. The staff were really friendly and very helpful.

Basic and Acceptable”
If you were looking for a place to just sleep and stay on a budget then its the place to stay. The kitchen could have used a microwave, I just dont know if I didnt see it. This provides basic toiletries, no conditioner though. You have to pay for the towel and a deposit for the keys though it will be return to you upon check out. This does not leave much to be desired but acceptable overall.

The ambience is different but somehow really cool that’s why we decide to Stay there plus the location (Shinjuku) . Cool old school Japanese / German wood style. The stuff is friendly and speaks somehow English. Free breakfast ( bread, jam, peanuts butter, coffee and Eggs (slef service) plus a really cool feature they have is a mobile phone which is free too use... as they said there are a few countries which you can call for free example UK 🇬🇧 PLUS google maps is included which you can use for your trips at Tokyo ( we didn’t know that that’s why we already got a rental WiFi at Any WiFi ( really good store with friendly English speaking stuff in case you need one ) anyway they should add that to there description because it’s a Really cool Feature if we understood that right 😅. The location it’s just 5-10Min waking to The nearest train station shin okubo you can reach any place form there also possible is just walk to Shinjuku station probably just 15-20’min away by foot. ...

Smelly cheap looking hostel”
Horrendous. Shared female dorm for one night stay. Bed sheet and pillow were smelly with bed bugs. I don’t think they even changed the sheets from previous guest. Had bites all over. Pantry was smelly and noise can be heard from the wall. Upper bunk made no sense as had no space keeping small items and prone to have things falling day to ground. You probably will break you phone into pieces. Having experienced many other hostels this is by far the worst ever in Japan. The review is mutual as per other fellow guests that I met during the stay. However, Location was good.

Shinjuku Tokyo House Inn was a budget friendly hotel. Our friends were there for 6 nights they didn't mind sharing the bunk bed with other guest until I booked one night in the dorm for him. He did not want to tolerate another guest snoring so said something and I had to hear about the whole the next morning. I stayed in a female dorm for a night and it was not bad at all I slept great. The point I am trying to say here is if you like your privacy then sharing dorm room with strangers will not be pleasant for you. If people are willing to pay $26 per night for hotel in one of the most expensive country in the world then you will get up angry like my boyfriend. We also stayed on our first night here at a private room it was really ok with me since this place is super clean but the wall is so thin my boyfriend could hear our next room neighbor talking Vietnamese on the phone at 3 am.
