Elegant hotel, very good breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms. Really enjoyed the footbath & public onsen. Close to train station and 10 min walk to the old town. Would love to go again.

Excellent place to stay”
I went to Tokyustay hotel Takayam for my transit heading to Shirakawa go. The location is very close with Takayama Station (2 minutes walking) the room also very nice and the space is large. We get 2 twin bed and 1 sofa bed which is very convenient for 3 adult ( i came here with my wife and todler (2 years old)

Really nice facilities, but overcrowded at breakfast”
The hotel itself is very nice. Everything seems new and the design combines traditional and modern style. The only complaint is that the breakfast was too crowded. I had to wait 20 minutes or so to be seated and items at the buffet ran out quickly, Maybe they need more staff to manage the breakfast when there are so many guests or they should offer a discount to people willing to eat early to stagger the crowd.

Very good location, new facilities, good breakfast thought additional options would be great but can't complain for the reasonable price. A bit shortfall in cleanliness (bathtub sink hole was dirty) however, the excellent customer service recovery and positive take of criticism will definitely make me stay again here when visiting Takayama.

No regrets staying here. Excellent location just next to Takayama Station. Toyota car rental is just opposite the hotel. Family mart nearby. Lots of food places in vicinity. Also staff are very helpful and speak some English. The hotel room is overall very nice and comfortable- also spacious. You can opt for a free foot bath or public onsen upstairs on 9th floor. For breakfast, I recommend that you consider hotel breakfast as the eateries in the area are really lunch hour and dinner hour operating hours. They open for short periods and close the rest of the day. Please do not read Google and think the restaurants open all day- you will be disappointed! I highly recommend getting a car if you want to explore takayama.

Close to anyplace to in the city to visit and wonderful natural hot springs with big bath tabs, and a feet bath in the rooftop looking at the beautiful sceneries! Highly recommend!

Very beautiful hotel”
Beautiful minimalist hotel, looks new. I've selected the room that has a washing machine and dryer, we did all our laundry towards our last few days in Takayama before moving off to Kanazawa, that was useful. Hotel is strategically located next to the Nohi bus station. From hotel to old town, that takes about 15min walk.. Hotel hot bath and foot bath wise, cleanliness could be better. Not really very clean, I can easily spot a layer of oil on water surface every evening. This hotel ain't cheap either.

The hotel is just beside the Takayama Train Station and just 2 minute walk over. This hotel provides an onsen bath, and it was good. The room is spacious with a traditional Japanese style of interior design. The breakfast is fantastic and serves a variety of cuisine in buffet style. Highly recommend it, and I definitely will come back again.

Superb location. Very clean and good size space for a family of 4 with older children. Easy to move around and family mart is just 5 mins away if you need supper.
