A 3-minute walk from Yakushima Airport, Tomarigi offers a bunk in a dorm room, a garden with a hammock and free Wi-Fi. It has a lounge with a flat-screen TV and a DVD player, as well as a shared kitchen. Tomarigi serves a Western breakfast. At the kitchen, guests are free to use kitchenware and a rental oven. They can use the free-use washing machine, and dry their clothes in their room. The hotel offers a bed in dormitory rooms with bunk beds for up to 6 people. Both male and female guests are allowed. Very well located if you fly in/out of Yakushima (and if you arent considering that, why aren't you?) One of the most helpful people you will meet. Who first sits down with you and asks what you are planning to do, goes through your itinerary then goes through the hostel facilities. Relatively basic, shower, wifi, cooking utensils. very suitable for a solo traveller and you might get lucky and meet someone who wants to hike with you

Perfect stay”

I usually always find a reason to complain but I can tell my stay at Tomarigi was perfect. Very confortable, big garden to relax outside, very central in the island (a bus stop 2min away) and The owner is so helpful and kind, your journey at Yakushima will be perfect in Tomarigi. I felt at home and it was my best hotel experience in 3 months trip.

Best place to stay in Yakushima”

We loved our stay. The hostel was quaint and warm. Guests are encouraged to interact in the cozy sleeping and communal areas. You really feel the hostel traveler vibe, and it was a delight to swap globetrotting stories with like-minded, savvy explorers. The host was the real star of this place. She was very warm, caring, and accommodating, helping you plan out your itinerary on the island, checking after your status for safety, and even going as far as to offer us a ride in her personal car to the ferry port since taking the bus would make us late. Thank you for everything Nee-san. We'll make sure to stay with you again when we make a return trip to Yakushima :)

オーナーの姐さんを初めに、同じ期間に滞在していた旅人の方が皆優しくて、とても温かい場所でした。初めての女子1人旅でしたが、とても楽しく過ごさせて頂きました。1人旅が不安であったり、寂しく過ごしたくない人にとって、最高の宿だと思います！ 色々な出会いもあるので、旅先で様々な出会いをしたい人にとってもおすすめです！
