The place to stay in Dipolog”
We were invited to conduct a seminar in Dipolog. Our group consisted of about 10 people. I was able to find Top Plaza through the google search and was able to get the rooms through Agoda. I got two rooms because my friends were traveling with me. We found the hotel to be the perfect place to be in when in Dipolog. The staff was second to none. Security personnel are always looking out for the guests. Even without telling them, the hotel staff knew what I wanted. The service and menu at the 7 treasures was first class. The hotel facilities are finely tuned to take care of the traveler. The seminar facilities were also superb. My only suggestion would be for a more robust wifi service. I am definitely coming back to dipolog and I will stay at the Top Plaza Hotel.

Dated hotel situated in a great location ”
I arrived at the Hotel on May 18, 2012 without really knowing that they have an 'airport pick up and deliver' service. At the airport, which was as big as the Kalibo, Aklan airport, I was looking for a cab but was told only motorized tricycles are available. I said, "oh, okay a 'taxi-cle' will do me". My first impression of Top Plaza was the building was built a few decades ago. I was not disappointed even though I was right eg,in room 202, the bathroom needs some plumbing work re-shower; loose floor vinyl tile near bathroom door; change of light bulb, because these were offset by the warm and wonderful customer service I've received from the Hotel staff: from the security, front desk, restaurant, driver and the room attendants. The smiles, helpful directions and tips for a new visitor to Dipolog City like me was, really, welcome. My intention was to visit some friends in Olingan and Estaka; the Jose Rizal shrine in Dapitan City and, perhaps, go to Dakak. My latter intent did not materialize because I learned that the following day, May 19th (saturday), was the City fiesta. So, I spent the day being invited to 3 lunches and 1 dinner, whew, on that day. The good 'vibes' I received from Top Plaza flowed on. On the whole, my stay, as a first time tourist to Dipolog, was more than what I expected. I have lots of photos I took that will serve as mementos of my stay. Cheers

accessiible location hotel”
top plaza hotel is a popular hotel at dipolog city because it's just in the center of the city and very convient go to any shoping mall. the most thing i like is very near to their central market by walking only takes 3 min., we go to the market two times while we stay there two days and buy very fresh fish, shrimp & crab with cheap prices and bring to the hotel let them cooking for us at the cost of kg, the cooker of hotel have a excellent skill of cooking, thus we are very satified the delicious foods by the cooker.

Great litle Place”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Top Plaza Hotel. The rooms were adequate altho the bathroom could us some work.Everything was clean.The staff at the reception were accommodating and let us stay a few hours more because our flight was in the afternoon.The staff at the restaurant are exceptional,pleasant,and eager to please.The location of the hotel is also an asset. We would definitely go back.

we liked the size of the room, as soon as we walked in the door we were happy. the bed is big and comfortable. a very clean and nice room. i was impressed for the price. they even had a table and chairs to sit down and a mini bar fridge. the bathroom was clean and they did have hot water. over all i was impressed and pleased with the top plaza.

loved where the hotel was in town. close to the city center for markets as well shops. i wish they had refers and microwave ovens and it would of been tops on my list.i seen other hotels there and i think this was great price and great staff. they made our stay there like we were family. always greeting us and remembering our name. made us feel welcome.will stay there again on my next trip.

Friendly staff, tired rooms.”
Apparently this is one of the better hotels in Dipolog. The rooms are big but with very basic furnishings, the TV was tiny - about 14 inch, although the cable reception was good. The towels are very thin as are the foam pillows. We ran the air con constantly which just managed to keep the room at a reasonable temperature. The aircon was at floor level as far from the bed as it is possible to be ie about the worst possible location which created an interesting temperature layering effect. All the staff were very friendly throughout. Breakfast was reasonable, certainly better than I was expecting at this price and if you are there over a Saturday night I highly recommend the 'Crabs and seafood all u can' Absolutely delicious and a tremendous bargain at php295. Oh, the outdoor pool. It is a 10 minute drive away! Very misleading advertising.

Adequate but no wifi”
Conveniently located. Close to everything you might want to go to in Dipolog. Airport to hotel was a 10-min tricycle ride. The market, the largest grocery store, several drugstores are all in the neighborhood. A "Thai massage" parlor was next door. The seaside boulevard where you might want to take a stroll in the early morning or evening is three blocks away. The hotel has an Chinese restaurant but we did not get the chance to take lunch or dinner there, just our complimentary breakfasts (the native breakfast was fine). The room was basic, clean, quite adequate for our short first time visit to this city. Some irritants the hotel people should attend to: We had a problem with the toilet as the make-shift string attached to the ball gave way so you had to keep lifting the lid to flush. The wifi didn't work at all in the room during our 2-day stay.

Great Hotel Location but ......???”
This is the Top Hotel in Dipolog City prior to rapid rising of new and modern hotels in the metropolis. That might be the reason why the hotel's name is "Top Plaza Hotel". We stayed an overnight at Deluxe Room (Rm. 203) on 17 January 2013 prior to our trip back to Manila from a 4-day stayed at Dakak Resort in Dapitan City as part of our Anniversary for us to see the city's bests. The hotel location is really great as it's accessible to any point in Dipolog and only 10 minutes drive going to the airport. We choose Deluxe Room since as per room's details in the net, it has an internet access. But the real situation was the opposite! The room doesn't have it's own router nor LAN (Local Area Network) but have to share from the floor's lobby Wi-Fi router. Unluckily, room 203 where we stayed was far from the router's location thus it can't intercept the router's signal. The room size was big but expect features and furniture 20 years ago when it was built. I was a big surprised that even the shower didn't function. You'll take a bath directly from the faucet without the aid of a pale (let your imagination work on this...). No slippers were provided even it's a Deluxe Room and a lot more to discover if you choose to stay there. But the hotel's best feature is it's service and great staffs! Staffs are showing the city's culture and natural Filipino hospitality to their client's. The hotel needs to be renovated to compete the new rising modern hotels in the city.

Centrally Located Hotel”
The hotel provides free airport shuttle service and free plated breakfast. The hotel is centrally located and only 20 minutes walk to the Lee Plaza Mall where one can dine and buy Montano Spanish Sardines from their supermarket. The room is clean and well maintain with aircon and television but the telephone cannot make local call and no WiFi.

Good value; good location”
I made the wrong booking (single) so when we got to the hotel, we asked to be upgraded (for an additional but reasonable amount) to a double room, because I was traveling with my husband. We were given a room with no windows at the far end of the hotel. We wanted to be relocated but there were no more window rooms available. We opted to stay since we would just be there overnight. Overall, it was ok. Room and bathroom are clean. They gave us extra pillows upon our request. Free breakfast the next morning was just right.

Good service and friendly staff”
When we came to our room we saw a cockroach - the staff did not hesitate to find another room. Efter check-out they let us keep our luggage there safe until we had to leave for the ferry to Dumaguete. But the best part: We found out the schedule had been changed, why we had to take one at 3:30 AM from Dapitan. We spent time at an internet cafe in Dipolog, until we had to leave. While we during the evening before tried to convince a tricycle to pick us up in the night, one of the staff from the cafe called the hotel. After some talking they offered to send a car and drive us - for free! That was excellent service!

Acessible location small but fine rooms”
The location of the Hotel is very accessible when you roam around the City as it is located at the center of the City proper where shopping malls and market are minutes away by walking.Although rooms are small but it is neat and clean. Well as for the staffs they are courteous and attentive.I like the foods at their restaurant most especially at weekends where they served all kind of seafoods.

During checkin, the staff informed us of the services they offer like free airport transfer and free breakfast. They were very accommodating. The location was perfect since it's just a walking distance from the boulevard and other establishments. The price here was lesser than the walkin price at the hotel. Thank you, Agoda!

The hotel staff were very helpful and willing to assist any time. The food was sufficient and the room was clean and the air conditioning was super cold. The position to town was brilliant. Easy access to all the shops. Ideal hotel for any travelers. Highly recommend it.

The hotel is okay.”
The hotel was okay even though it is quite old. The tv is very small and the wifi signal is not great. The staff were friendly and it is situated close to the shopping centre and supermarket. The atmosphere was terrible, you can hear people laughing and shouting outside the room. They don't have signs that says "Pls. observe silence or Pls. respect other guests by keeping their voices low." Personally I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend.
