We drop-off our baggages at Toyama Excel Hotel Tokyu a day earlier on our check-in date, reason being we have planned for a 2-day/1-nite stay at TOYOTA Shirakawa-Go Eco Insutitute. The hotel concerige is willing to keep our baggages till we return the next day. Hotel staff also gave us a directional map to the Toyota car rental pickup office and car parking area behind the hotel for our information. We check-in late upon return and was glad that our baggages have been sent to our respective rooms prior to our check-in. This hotel has a chargeable porter service to transfer our baggages to Hotel Tateyama which is an excellent choice as we have older folks in the group. In addition, the hotel also pick up the car parking fee tab for stay-in guests. This information was given to us by the hotel counter staff when we informed them that we have parked our rental car at their designated carpark. In addition, the Dentetsu Toyama Station is a 5-min walk from the hotel which make our departure for the Alpine Alps a breeze. Overall, we had an excellent stay at the hotel and would surely recommend this hotel to travelers who plan Mount Tateyama as their next destination from Toyama.

Oyado Nono is one of the greatest 3+ Stars Japanese hotels I stayed in and I loved everything about it. - The personnel is welcoming, adorable and so well dressed. :) - The modern Japanese style room is ingenious in terms of design. You can only feel at peace inside and the private onsen in the bathroom is such a treasure of relaxation. There is also free water, tea and coffee. The rooms are cleaned every mornings. - The free noodles serving at night was a surprising point. You know you stay at the right place when people don't let you starve alone. :) - The hotel location is next to everything in the city center : Restaurants, Museums, Shopping Arcades, Movie Theater, Toyama Station and Toyama Castle of course. I will book here everytime I'll go to Toyama city.

I have nothing to criticize about this hotel Value for money: It was very affordable for a place that beautiful. It was very affordable especially considering that I went there during golden week. Location: perfectly right in front of Toyama station Cleanliness: Super clean. Everything was immaculate. The bathroom and the bedroom were perfectly clean. Staff: The staff was very helpful. I booked a room for one and after my friend was not satisfied with her accommodation, asked that I stayed with her for just a little addition to the money I had already paid and the hotel allowed us. They gave us an extra blanket and the double bed in the bedroom was big enough for the two of us. Thank you. Facilities: Free breakfast in the morning was great!!! I had everything I needed. I have nothing to complain about. I would definitely stay again if I had to visit Toyama or stay at other locations of this hotel chain. I would definitely recommend this place. Toyama is not really overloaded with attractions, so you go there for a reason. Either business/conference or as rest before going into the mountains. In either case the hotel seems perfect. The room (single) is small, but close by I have stayed in much smaller rooms for nearly the same money. Large bed, and the normal tea/coffee maker. Fast internet access. Not large, but comfortable. And very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good in English. I didn't really try their Japanese. Right next to the station, the Taxi center, and the bus terminal.Many bars and restaurants nearby serving what is best in Toyama, fresh fish. Not a luxurious hotel, but giving you what you need, expect or hope for. And this at a reasonable price. I might have to go back to Toyama soon, and I know where I will stay.

Location: it is only 7-8mins normal walk from toyama station. but u will need google maps to find it coz it is not at the main street. U can walk to toyama fugan canal water park which is very beautiful, i recommend that place. From toyama station, u can take train to tateyama alpine route, also u can go to takaoka city by jr train to continue journey to shirakawago, also only few stops to takaoka city which has some attraction to go too. Room is clea, small but still aceptable (standard japan small room), amenities r ccomplete.

Nice!! Room is clean and decent size based on Japan hotel standard, near to shopping malls and restaurants, nice onsen and the only hotel that provide complimentary ramen . Though it is 20mins walk from Toyama station and 12 mins away from Dentetsu Toyama railroad, the hotel make up for it by giving complimentary shuttle in the morning from hotel to Toyama station and complimentary public tram usable all day which also covers certain places of interest. To get to the hotel from Toyama station, take the tram from platform 3 behind the tourist information counter. Take the tram that goes to International Center which is next to Crown plaza hotel or after you see the toyama castle on your left. Not all tram at platform 3 goes to International Center and best to seek help from tourist information counter.

-This hotel is about 10-15 mins walk to Toyama station. -Breakfast is good -The staffs can't speak English well but they are really helpful and will try so hard to solve your problem. I was amazed with a woman staff (I forgot the name), she tried to find information that I need and will explain to me slowly until I understand. -If you are going to explore Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route and need to catch the early train in Dentetsu Toyama st, this hotel is good enough for you and it's cheaper. - I suggest in the future, this hotel has luggage sending service since almost all the hotels in Toyama have that service for all customers that will go for Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.

Staying here for one night is too short for me when I found this wonderful hotel in Toyama :) My room is quite big enough for 2 people and they have also provide the guest with free coffee, tea and ochazuke (rice boiled with soup) each day. The extra amenities like books, DVDs, pants press, shampoo & condition, etc. can be found and available for free rental at the hotel, I will recommend this place to my friends :)

The hotel has great location in Toyama. Near to the JR Toyama Station and Dentetsu Toyama Station for trip to the Alpine Route. Stayed here because we booked an early morning trip to the Alpine Route. What's great is that we can do the luggage transfer to Shinano-Omachi Station (end part of the route) directly at the hotel at JPY1,300 per bag. My only gripe is the drier machine for the hotel's coin laundry. It was so slow and does'nt dry your cloth properly. Have to wait for 1 hour 30 mins to dry your clothes properly for standard JPY300 coins inserted!

the hotel is not a walking distance from the toyama jr station.we took a taxi of yen1400 to the hotel. given free 2 stops tram tickets from the apa hotel to travel with but we use 1 way only as to go from hotel location to the nearest tram stop is about 1km of walking distance. since there were four of us travelling we decided to return by taxi from toyama jr station after our dinner out.

Wonderful location. 5 minutes walk from Toyama Station, surrounded by restaurants, 2 convenient stores within 2min walking distance. Friendly staff. Free breakfast was delicious. My single room and bathroom was clean. They provided basic things: electric kettle, a small fridge, small TV, hair dryer, shampoo, body soap and 2 towels in the bathroom. Basic toiletries (toothbrush, shaving kit, etc.) were provided in the lobby.

We had a corner room which was small but very well planned so that it made for an enjoyable stay.The two single beds were very comfortable and the room very quiet. There was a desk and two chairs and the wi-fi worked well .....unlike the refrigerator which did not. On the positive side .....both windows could be opened which was good as it was quite warm during our stay and we like to sleep without aircon when possible. Breakfast could be a problem if you do not like Japanese food as limited to croisants,toast and jam. I had curry rice one morning for breakfast ...... and enjoyed it! All the staff we had dealings with were very attentive and helpful, even with limited English.

Missed my train so I had to put up a night in Toyama. The information desk staff said there were no hostels around Toyama, only hotels. Glad I didn’t listen to him, or else I wouldn’t find this gem. This place is only about 400m from the station, cross the main street and walk straight 400m its on your right. They only have a small stand board outside so look carefully. The bed is spacious and covered up with curtains so you get your private space although it is a shared dorm. Bathroom design is amazing! This hostel is definitely in my list for the next trip!

Hotel was situated a good ~20 mins walk from station though never tried walking there. To get there, we hopped on its loop tram ride there, paying Yen$200 per adult. Hotel was near the Toyama Castle and if you walked a few streets behind the building, there are shopping & eating areas nearby. The Sleeping program offered there was good, have never experienced in other Japanese hotels i stayed in. Room size was acceptable and services there were not bad. Hotel provided free mineral water bottles during 2 nights there. Customer service was good provided by the guy who attended to our luggage, he was very friendly and amicable while trying to advise us on our queries and gave some suggestions on where to visit which made our stay in the hotel very enjoyable and pleasant.

Amazing amazing hotel! Nestled next to the Jinzū River, the lobby and room commanded magnificent views! Excruciatingly beautiful hotel, great pains were obviously taken in terms of design, layout and decor! Luxurious artworks abound! Cavernous lobby with sky high floor to ceiling Windows! The room was incredible, a mix of traditional Japanese, Western and Scandinavian sensibilities! The food was sumptuous and eye catching! Highly recommended hotel! Truly unique in every aspect! Would return in a heartbeat of given the chance!! Staff were just a joy!!

Best ever stay! Spacious room, free drinks, great set dinner by their master chef. The only hotels which allow early check in , heartened after a long journey! Staff was extremely friendly compared to hotels in tokyo where staff seems avoid serving English speaking customers but kind to own people. Picking and sending us to the station by hotel staff. 1st time to experience snowing during our November trip.
