Location was great. Staff need improvement”

Great location. Just outside Aomori station (the station only has 1 exit so your can't miss it), the hotel is behind the Sunroute Hotel Aomori. Toyoko Inn is a business hotel chain that you can see in almost any city in Japan. While the space is a bit constricted, it is still comfortable enough. Nearby are the A-Factory (where you can buy Aomori apples and other apple products... I mean the fruit, not the company). There is also a nearby museum (Nebuta House). Beside Aomori station is the Lovina mall which has a supermarket, Starbucks coffee and Muji, among others, for all your needs. One con was the check in time is at 4:00 PM. You cannot go to your room before that, even if the room is available. There was a group of travelers who pleaded with the front desk to accommodate them already as they traveled the whole day from their home country to Aomori. They were elderly women and looked really worn. The front desk still refused to give them the keys. I hope that they can also try to be understanding of the situation.

A Good Hotel in a Nothing Town”

Very helpful and efficient staff, very clean, really conveniently located

Like all Toyoko Inns, the Toyoko Inn Aomori is a very well run and conveniently located business hotel. Don't expect much in the way of frills, but it is very clean, the staff is helpful, they offer a decent Japanese breakfast and the location can't be beat being only about 200 meters from the train station. It is a good place to stop over if you are on your way to or from Hokkaido. Aomori however as a town doesn't offer much especially in terms of nightlife or restaurants. There is no reason to linger here. That said, the Toyoko Inn is a great pit-stop for travelers.

A well located and nice hotel”

Pros : Hotel is walking distance from jr train station, bus station and other sightseeing places like A factory, Auga fresh market, nebuta museum, A factory and ferry museum. Faces the beautiful aomori bridge. Room is clean and cosy. Bed is comfortable. Good Japanese breakfast. Washing machine and dryer to wash clothes. Cons : Room is a bit small but okay

It was a comfortable stay. Recommend this hotel if you ever visit Aomori. It's only few minutes on foot from the Station and Bus Station.

Location, Value for money. Comfortable stay

The hotel is located less than 5 mins. walk from the train station. Very easy to find. Check in efficient and staff speaks fairly good English. The room is adequate in space and all amenities ok. The pyjama only one size and was too small. Breakfast included in the rate is very convenient but not very interesting. Good value for money and highly recommended.
