Value for money ”
Pros: Good location. It’s just a 15 minute walk from lake Kawaguchiko and a few minute walk to Ogi bus stop where you can ride the sightseeing loop bus. The room is very clean with amenities. Breakfast is nice and there is a public bath available. The staff are friendly and helpful. They gave me a face mask when I checked in which is really nice. There is a restaurant and a convenience store nearby. The price is reasonable and cheaper than the hotels nearby. Cons: The pillow is hard and I had neck pain after waking up. Their bus service going to lake Kawaguchiko is currently suspended until February 2020 but they still have bus service available going to Otsuki station. Overall, we had an excellent experience and we will definitely check in again at Toyoko Inn.

Comfortable, clean and convenient”
Hotel room has a great mountain view, provides buffet breakfast for guests and is equipped with onsens. Bus stop 4 is just outside (2min walk) and there is also hotel shuttle from Kawaguchi n Otsuki station if you come from Tokyo. A supermarket, some musuems attractions and restaurants nearby. Staff are helpful (especially a lady) despite their command of English and even guided us. Well recommended!

Location, Cleanliness, Comfort”
15mins Walk to Lake Kawaguchi where you can enjoy riding the boat, ropeway and the view of Mt. Fuji. Room is simple yet clean and comfortable. Simple Breakfast included. If you have a car, parking in hotel has charges but very cheap. ¥500/night only. Staffs are very helpful.

Modern and clean. Walkable distance to bus stop. Free shuttle to otsuki. Public bath house was under reno and they also stopped the free shuttle to kawagochiko station =( breakfast was good.

Great Location, good price”
This hotel has a great location, walk 20mins and you can reach Kawaguchiko station. 10mins and you can reach the lake and bridge. There are many restaurants along the way, so tonnes of food choices and not worry you cannot get back to the hotel if the dinner is till late. Bed is big and firm and the design of the room is great. There is an onsen each for male and female, and I felt slightly disappointed, as the "onsen" is just normal water, which I would rather take a bath in the room. They provide simple breakfast, and free shuttle bus to and from the hotel to the station. Overall I will stay again due to the location of this hotel.

New hotel but there are something to be improved”
The water pipe is getting bit noisy in the morning as your upper neighbours start using their toilet. This is not really expected as this is a recently built hotel. Shuttle bus and public bath were suspended during my stay, so it is bit disappointing. If you have a 2-day pass, the green/red/blue(S-bus only) buses stop nearby so it is still fine for transportation. Nearby you can find great restaurants and super market. Crossing the bridge takes about 20mins, and you can find great spots for photography of Mt Fuji.

Modern and comfortable stay near Lake Kawaguchi”
Staff can speak colloquial English and were generally warm. The room is modern with basic amenities you will expect of a chain hotel. The downside was the public bath and sauna were under renovation during my stay. Also, in light of Covid-19, normal breakfast fare was scaled down to prepackaged buns and onigiris.

It is a neat hotel with mostly what I need. My room was non-smoking, however when I woke up in the morning, there was a strong smell of cigarette. Did not know where it was coming from, but it was bothersome. The rest of my stay was smooth, the location is accessible to some restaurants, bus stops and convenience stores. It is a silent area. I recommend.

The first day was very clean but then they didn’t do any housekeeper the other days. They only gave you new towels but not even clean the bin. The staff were nice but not flexible. The free day I arrived was raining and my clothes were wet. The checkin time was 4pm. I arrived 20 minutes earlier. They refused to give me the key. I had to wait wet in the lobby till some local Japanese customers arrived they checked them without any problem. I asked again and they had no choice but gave the key. Was it a some kind of discrimination against non Japanese speaking customer? I recommend it because it is still the cheapest hotel in the area. May be it is the price of we pay. The breakfast supplied was very standard everyday. Buy they prepared you to take away.

Pros: - Near halal restaurant - Clean and new - Heater available during winter, aircon available during summer - Nearby 24/7 Lawson store Cons: - Although agoda mentions no extra charge for children, they did not mention that you would need to pay for extra pillows and towels for your children - Location is slightly far from kawaguchi stn and at the time of my stay, shuttle bus was not available. So if you have a tonne of luggage, you would need to either walk 20mins with streets that are too small for walking, or take a local bus (timing varies). - Breakfast choice is limited - Check in time 4pm Bottom line, good for couples and singles. For families, it is possible but you got to manage your expectations and be prepared to pay for extra towels and pillows. Something other hotels normally offer for free.

The hotel have just renovation. No shutter bus to the hotel from Kawaguchi Station during the winter. It's my bad luck. However once of staffs is really good. She can speak Thai and explained the situation. She helped me reserved a taxi when I go back.

The position is good and the room comfortable and very clean. I recommend this hotel if you don't mind about the Asian breakfast. The breakfast is only Asian style, with rice and soup, no yoghurt, no milk, no fruit, just coffee or tea
