Nice hotel”

If you think hotels are expensive in Kyoto you can have a hotel as a good base to visit some places Kyoto is 20 minutes by Shinkansen you have one train every half an hour, clean hotel nice people in reception they do not speak much English this hotel is 2 minutes walking from Shinkansen and local trains station free breakfast

Very convenient next to Station. Clean and comfortable. Yukata provided (self collect at lobby). Comb and basic stuff self collect at lobby. Water both hot and cold available at all times at lobby. Breakfast is basic but good. With coffee tea juice bread Japanese food and sausages eggs etc. But go early as last day I was at about after 9am and not much food left. Would be better with cheaper rates.

Great Location just next to JR station”

at the west side of the JR station, making it very convenient. There are also a few nice restaurants within walking distance. Staff is very nice and allowing us to bring 2 roadbikes into the room (making the small room cramped though). All the non-smoking rooms are sold out that day so we had a smoking room, which is a boomer but not their fault. All hotel rooms should be made smoke-free!

Excellent and cheap business hotel for Tourists”

During the peak season when the hotels in Kyoto are extremely expensive, this hotel that is 25 mins by Shinkansen away from Kyoto (no problem if using the Japan Rail Pass) remains reasonably price. Furthermore, it is just right next to the JR Maibara station, and is a very new facility (so almost everything is in perfect condition). Will stay here again when I go to Japan Kyoto for Koyo.

Great Location”

Toyoko Inn's are everywhere about the same. However, I really loved the location of this one. Leaving the exit in the west the hotel can't be missed plus a supermarket is maybe 100 meters away. Maibara itself is not a must-see but is close to nice places. For example, it takes only 5 minutes by train to reach Hikone.

駅目の前で、近くにはドラッグストアやスーパーで買い物出来ます。朝食は一般的な和食が主でお部屋へも持ち込めます。夕方ホテルに戻ったらたまたまカレーライスのサービスがありお部屋でいただけました。うれしいサービスです。電子レンジとウォーターサーバーが各階にあると最高です。ナイトガウンは説明はありませんでしたがロビーを見渡すとセルフで受け取れるようになっていました。お部屋はきれいにお掃除してくださってました。米原なら便利です。
