Exceptional value for money”

Location next door airport though noise not an issue. Metro into town beside airport. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean with everything you need. Great value for money. Would definately stay again.

Extremely disappointed. The room was not inviting at all. The bed certainly not the most comfortable. Carvery meal in the restaurant was not very hot and it was only 6.15 p.m. Wished we had had a bar snack instead which looked more appetizing. Having said that the staff were extremely helpful and it was only 5 minutes from the airport.

Arrived very late at night. The staff were very friendly and I was upgraded to a better room free of charge. I actually stayed two nights rather than the originally planned one. Would definitely recommend it

Definitely not as bad as in some reviews”

The only totally strange thing in this hotel is paid internet. This is 2018 now, if I may remind. Otherwise, it is clean, the pub is great, staff is great, location is great. Definitely value for money. For those who check the quality of furniture - there is Hilton nearby, for triple price.

Clean, customer service excellent”

Decaf coffee was the worst, no offer was made to remedy the complaint. Room tired but very clean, excessively hot with a hot pipe running across room 9, unable to sleep well in that heat. Room attendant excellent, reception excellent, bar didn't have a clue, about customer care, service or rights.

Perfect for the night before flying”

Perfect location for Newcastle Airport. Stay here and the parking is cheaper than the airport long term, and you can get here the night before, and have a more relaxed “get up” for your morning flight. Friendly staff, nice accommodation, etc. Cost me less than £30 for the room too - absolutely spot on.

one night stay”

i stayed here because it is next to the airport. if you walk out of this hotel you are in the airport carpark that is how close it is. the hotel its self is ok i only needed a bed and thats what i got. i wouldnt stay here for any other reason that that i was passing through and i had an early flight

Economic overnight travel stop”

Modest but adequate room size. More plug sockets than I've ever seen in a hotel room before - the whole family could charge phones, tablets, computers and cameras and still have a socket to use the tea and coffee making facilities! Good cooked breakfast. Easy check-in and out. Staffing was sparse as you'd expect in a budget location but they were responsive, helpful and polite. Would use it again if driving to/from Scotland or flying from Newcastle airport. Good parking for car within barrier protected site. Could leave car while on holiday at reasonable price.

one night before takeoff”

i only stayed here one night before i caught a fight in the morning, it is literally a 30 second walk to Newcastle airport so it was ideal for what i needed as i had an early flight, i got to the hotel late but the bloke got me checked in straight away with no problems and the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. i left before breakfast but there's a greggs at the airport. if i ever needed to get an early flight again i would defo stay here again because of the proximity to the airport

Excellent location for the airport and the staff are very helpful, however the positives end there. The room I stayed in was cramped even for 1 person, breakfast was lots of empty dishes waiting to be filled and lots of complaining clients. The hotel is scruffy and dated and for the few quid more I'd either stay in Newcastle itself or at the doubletree up the road.

Poor hotel experience”

Very close to airport is the only good point.. The facilities were not as described on the website. The staff were not helpful and the hotel is very old and out of date compared to other hotels visited. We decided to move hotels after being disappointed.

Showing its age”

Older hotel with smaller rooms [not helped by the coffee table on which the TV was standing taking up most the space at the foot of the [only a double] bed. If the TV was wall mounted it would make the room seem much bigger. It seems to be used by people staying on the night before their flight and, as such, it is fine. It is walking distance from the airport terminal and I used the Metro to get from the airport into the city centre. Breakfast was okay.

Very convenient for airport”

Fairly basic hotel but only couple minutes walk to terminal so great location. Booked through Agoda and saved £18 compared to other booking sites for the same night.

Old and tired!”

I stayed one night after arriving at Newcastle airport in the early hours of the morning. Firstly it's not easy to locate from arrivals as no clear signage. I knew this was going to be a basic hotel but the standard of it surprised me and not in a good way! I didn't think hotels like this existed anymore. It was dirty and out dated. I don't think anything had been maintained or cleaned properly since it was built. Thankfully the sheets were clean allowing me to get a few hours sleep. Not somewhere you would want to hang around in and i got up early to get the train. I would pay a bit more and stay at the other airport hotel next time unless it has a miraculous revamp to bring it into this century.

Hotel corridors smelt of cigarette smoke. The bar was always out of bottled beer. The rooms were incredibly unhygienic. The bath had what I could only assume was urine stains at one end. The room and en suite was in desperate need of various repairs. The extractor in the en suite didn't even work so a notice was installed to notify guests that using the shower with the en suite door open could set off the fire alarm.
