Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in ”
There were absolute no cons - my room was upgraded from single to double for free. Excellent provision of basic things such as soap, shampoo, shower caps - I travel a lot and have noticed sadly that these basic provisions are often forgotten about. The room was lovely, extremely clean and absolutely great value for money. The staff were the friendliest I’ve ever met - will definitely stay here again if I return to Newcastle ! Keep it up guys !

Clean linen, plenty of hot water and a comfortable bed - what more could you want? There are also facilities to make coffee or tea, plus a thoughtful carton of orange juice and complementary bottle of water. The decor is dated ( a mid-60s feel), but overall good value for money.

Booked a hotel quite late for Newcastle (which is always busy at the weekends. This was one of the less expensive at £60 per night including breakfast. Clean enough, close enough to the centre, busy street for bar restaurants; did what we needed.

The hotel is scruffy as is the room although it is clean. The area is very noisy at night. The continental breakfast was acceptable although the coffee and tea were appalling.

It's near the tube station, and the residents here are really nice and warm hearted. The room is not very big but really comfortable!

More appropriate for young revellers”
On arrival, I asked for a quite room. Apparently there are no quite rooms as such, but I was given the quietest available. The room was comfortable enough although the decor was somewhere on the shabby side. The carpet at the threshold of reception / stairs was badly stained giving a poor first impression. The large bar area caters for the also large student population and the music begins around 7pm through 11pm, with the bass beat reverberating into your room for the duration. Breakfast is Continental style only. If you require an 'English Breakfast' you must go across and some way down a busy main road to an affiliated hotel and give your name. 7.00pm through 11pm with the constant thumping of the bass beat reverberating in your room for the duration. Breakfast is Continental only if you would like an 'English' breakfast, you must go across the busy main road to another hotel give your name and receive what is a poor excuse for an English breakfast. Personally, I wouldn't entertain the thought of going there again but it would propably appeal to those

Cosy & Comfortable Plus Well Located”
As requested, I was given a clean & quiet room. The hotel was well located - just 10 minutes leisurely walk to the Metro station. The room is reasonably priced and the breakfast was pretty good with a nice spread of bread & croissants, jam, cheese, salads with ham, yogurt with fruits plus the usual tea, coffee plus fresh milk. I certainly will return to this hotel on my next visit to Newcastle.

heater was broken...floor squeecks..what more can i say...very bad and not cheap! Dont ever come here!
