I had paid the full room fee including breakfast, while check out the receiption lady still require my credit card and charge me 100.62 pounds without my approval on 22nd Feb 2020(leave the hotel in hurry and doesn't notice that, thought she just use my card to cancel the authorization). Try my best to contact Agoda and the hotel but till now without any feedback

Great hotel, but annoying the prices always jump when the Great North Run is taking place”

I often stay at this hotel and pricing is usually okay. For the Great North run weekend, i had to pay £580 for 2 nights. This is a lot more than I usually pay. I had booked way in advance too (9 months). Staff are great, rooms modern and clean.

In a great location

OK experience”

Location is good, with 7 min walk to the train station and the historic downtown area, and a 15 - 20 min walk to U of Newcastle and Northumbria U. Staff are quite friendly and like to do small talk with customers in the check-in process. Breakfast is good with options both for buffet and a la carte, under a cap rate. Room is clean and big, though my room is bit odd with four doors, and the restroom looks like to be converted from a public handicap restroom given the size and the fit-out.

Great hotel, excellent location”

This is the best hotel in the city centre. It is close to the railway station and nightlife. Rooms are modern and spacious, decent room service and friendly staff.

Would definitely stay again! Staff were lovely and extremely helpful! Room was gorgeous and extremely clean! The gym was small but still had the majority of equipment you would expect! We loved our stay for the night and could not recommend this hotel enough!

Quality hotel in great location”

Great hotel ”

The hotel is in a great location close to the train station and just a short walk to the town. It is very clean and the staff are very friendly.

Perfect place for a short visit to Newcastle”

The whole hotel including the rooms are spotless clean and tidy. Breakfast is delicious and probably where we had the best food in Newcastle where the food offer is generally poor. Location is ideal. One step from the central station and metro station; two steps from the centre. One of the few hotels with a good spa, but unfortunately on Saturday it got so crowded that we were not granted access to it. Staff is super nice and super helpful.

It's a vibrant hotel with always something happening. Not for the quiet type on the weekends. Big rooms are good value.

Nice enough but not my 1st choice”

Immaculately clean, very pleasant helpful staff. Location between shopping and quayside so very quiet, however all uphill so if not fit wouldn’t recommend. If you want a city view remember to ask as view of side of car park/office block not so good. We had car but if arriving by train then it’s a very short walk so ideal. Another thing to ask for if a couple is non adjoining beds, the queen are 2 beds pushed together with hard join between so if on a romantic break expect to be sleeping apart. All in all nothing to make you complain about however could’ve been better with personal requests made.

V good but didnt respect check out times”

Very nice hotel with a big spacious room. Very friendly check in staff. However if check out time is 12 please don't come knocking at 11.40 and then proceeding to enter my room.

Best hotel in Newcastle”

This is my go to place when visiting Newcastle. Staff are great, rooms spacious and modern. Very close to all major shops and sightseeing
