Lovely chilled stay”
Staff so nice. Especially Kevin on reception & concierge Billy. Treated to upgrade & spa & nice mini informative historic tour of the amazing building. Lovely clean, plush & comfy huge room & facilities. Brilliant 50th treat for my partner. Can't not mention the complimentary perfectly fresh & warm choc chip cookies on arrival.

Excellent service, hotel was spotless and staff were so nice, would definetly recommend. Shower in the King room was the best shower I have ever been in.

Very Good”
We have a lovely stay at DTBH, Liverpool. Rooms were nice and the shower was huge! Would have liked to have extra pillows and a room service menu. Got a welcome cookie on arrival which was a nice addition! Would stay again.

Underwhelming experience ”
The location is great and quite convenient. The walls had a lot of marks on them and the bottom of the bathtub needs a deep cleaning. The fruit option for breakfast includes 2 small pieces of pineapples and watermelon, along with few grapes- skip that if you can. The staff was very polite, however, considering the overall experience and competition in hotel industry I would not come back.

Beautiful Hotel very disappointing stay..”
Huge impressive room on first sight. I don't have enough room to list the things that went wrong. Air conditioning couldn't be turned off, given extra quilt and two heaters for our first night, then moved. Windows didn't open so excessively stuffy by morning. Curtains in the room wouldn't close, kettle had to stand on the floor to be boiled. Shower disgustingly filthy with lots of slime. Although we were moved we felt the desk staff were dismissive and defensive. When we eventually spoke to the manager he was no different. Car parking was also a problem because of no clear instructions. We had to ask for recompense for our inconvenience. Breakfast staff and the night porter, who brought us quilt and heater, were brilliant.

Nice room”
All good except our room was not on elevator level and hence quite tough to carry all our luggages. No porter service or assistance offered by hotel staff despite seeing us with so many large luggages.

We felt that the room was ill thought out and left us frustrated given the cost. The only dressing table had no mirror or plug sockets for hairdryer so forced to sit on floor in front of main room mirror. The room was dark, the air con was seemingly faulty. Another irk was that there was nowhere to hang wet towels (no hooks on back of door etc!?). Plus side, the bed was very large, room was clean, staff were great and the location is very good. I could not recommend and wouldn't use again unfortunately.

I was assigned for the roof top floor superior room. The birds on the roof top keep making noise at night which was annoying. My room was not cleaned up for the first day of my stay. I asked the reception the reason why and no one could tell me. The towel was not clean with some stains. The pool at Spa was a tiny one. Don’t think this hotel worth for the money I paid for it. Could have some better choices within the district.

1 Star is too generous!!!!!!!!!!!! We were looking for a holiday in Liverpool and we booked a room for 3 nights and due to the good reputation Hilton has, we went to DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Liverpool. When we checked in, we were greeted by some rude staff, we also booked dinner for £35 per person/night but they said that the restaurant was closed. They could only refund £25 per person/night?? Once we realised that the restaurant was closed, we asked if we could cancel the booking so that we could go to the other Hilton. They said that it was too late and told us that they have already tried to call me… THEY CALLED THE WRONG NUMBER!! So we went into our room that was quite small and was greeted by a cracked mirror. On the second day, we went down to eat breakfast and they said that we didn't book any breakfast?! After about 5 mins, they finally came back. They realised they made a mistake and said their system was broken!!! On the second night at around 10 pm, we heard a flushing sound and water started leaking out of the ceiling. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! We called the reception and a man came up to check what was happening, he put a towel down and told us they would help us change rooms the next day. When we came down to the reception the next day they said they didn't know about this????? After that they said that I needed to bring all our luggage down so that they could give me a new room, but in the end the room was just next door!!!! AVOID GOING TO THIS HOTEL IT WIL RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY :/

Old hotel where aircon broken down without any fix”
We were spending 2 nights at the hotel but unfortunately we were assigned a room that the air conditioning/heater has broken down and it’s generating load noises.. the hotel staff promised to fix 2nd day but nothing done.. so we are settling 2 nights with fan

Great location”
Last minute booking, location and parking were ideal. Room was perfect, lovely bathroom, threat shower and loved the big wardrobe and coffee machine. Plan on going back in the next few months and will hope to stay in this hotel/room.

Brilliant ”
Loved my stay at Double Tree by Hilton in city center Liverpool. Room was huge with a huge comfortable bed and a huge bathroom with bath and separate shower. The breakfast was lovely, staff friendly. I will definitely stay again

Terrible Room ”
A lot facilities in the room are defect, the bedsheet is look like hasn’t been changed for some time, the water heater in the bath room can never be adjusted (you can only shower with very very hot water), the is no cover or door separating the shower area and the toilet, the water will flow out which almost cause my wife fall down on the floor). I thought this branded hotel will give guests a comfortable place to stay while travelling, overall very very disappointed.

I like almost everything about this hotel. Except its just a bit close to nightlife area. But it's not too noisy anyway. The staff are friendly with Scouse accent!
