great location, good breakfast”
I am impressed by the convenient location by the hotel, which is 6mins away from train station, all tourist spots are easily assessable with just 10-15 minutes away from walking. They don’t provide essentials like slippers or toothbrushes so make sure you bring your own. The complimentary breakfast is awesome with a range of choice! Friendly staff, I have a great stay.

The location was great and strategic to the places to visit in the city. Very clean room and professional staff. We also love the breakfast, very organized to adgere with covid guidelines. Overall experience was great!

Staff friendly. Rooms a good size and very clean. Bed very comfortable. Wonderful choices for the complementary breakfast. Good price. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Close to train station. Staff were excellent. Check in wasn't meant to be till 3pm. But our 4 rooms were ready for us for for 11.30am really clean and breakfast was lovely

Emergency stay in York”
Having booked at very short notice due to unforeseen circumstances, this hotel managed to give us great facilities and location for an excellent price. The 2 members of staff at reception were very helpful and accommodating, giving great service to us upon arrival. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would use again.

Great hotel, lovely staff”
I had a great stay at the Hampton by Hilton in York in early June 2021. The hotel is well located by the station and it is a short walk to the city centre (10 mins). The hotel and room were very clean and felt covid secure, including several options for how breakfast could be served if you're keen to avoid communal dining. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. I will stay here again the next time I visit the city.

For families travelling with young child, it might be difficult to obtain a single room because some hotels want us to pay for two rooms or request a fee for an additional bed. The sofa bed offered by Hampton is a great option for us because it allows us to stay in one room and save money at the same time.

A lovely clean hotel with brilliant staff. A member of staff in the dinning area at breakfast was really kind to my friend and I but we didnt get her name . The room was spotless and fab bathroom. Really easy to find from the railway station.

Great value of money”
The hotel was very clean, breakfast was great. Location is the best near the York station and easy to walk to the city. I would definitely come back and stay here if I'm revisiting York again.

Pleasant stay with friendly and helpful staff”
It was a speedy check-in. Arrived a few minutes before 1400h, but was given a room. First-time to York. Not sure where to have late lunch. Staff pointed me to use barker lane. Voila! indeed many eateries, pubs and cafes. Breakfast was well-organised despite a small crowd. Checking out at 7am was a breeze too with a key drop off at the express box.

Worth the price! It’s my first time to travel in the UK and in York. I found out there are more B&B choices in York but I won’t regret choosing Hampton because of its modern design and roomy environment. But the window view is not good at all since it’s under construction. This is the only thing upsetting me.
