Modern, well maintained, good service from the staff

Slightly disappointed ”

We arrived at our room, they were going to decorate it for my daughters 16th, they put 2 banners up..I thought that's pants but at least it's something. Making the sofa bed, blood stains on the duvet and the duvet cover was ripped. House keeping come eventually and changed it. Great. Then I open the cupboard and find rainbow drops all in there and all under the unit, gross. Put things in the fridge, woke up and found the fridge don't even work as nothing was cold in it. Lastly, you could hear the traffic as if a window was open. Positive note. The Queen size bed was comfy.

I stay in holiday inns frequently. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the reception staff both when booking in and out. Clearly a well run hotel with happy staff.

Expensive for everything”

Standard rooms are small. Some rooms overlooked by others so to obtain any privacy, curtains drawn which makes the room dark. Bed is not standard double size!!!! lower ground floor.... Room 111 especially. Avoid at all costs. Function guests have priority parking on site over residents. Parking is 10£ per night. Breakfast, a shameful £15 per person. No coffee in room. Again steam room not working..!!! Outside advertisement photos were taken some years ago.. Staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful at all times. Better hotel, more cost efficient is Bromsgrove Spa. 25 minutes along m42.

First time in Birmingham ”

The room was cleaned to a good standard. Front of shop staff were polite and smiled, although they don’t speak much. Do not use Uber in the area as they cancel frequently in order to get big fares from the airport and the local taxi firms use the AB app, which is expensive.

Great time upgraded for £5 and we were amazed at the standard of the room. We will stay again for sure.

For my personal requirements the bed was extremely soft so I could not sleep. Breakfast buffet was also not of the standard I find acceptable. This is not to say others may enjoy mushrooms swimming in oil, fried bread, fried chips, hard and burnt scrambled eggs and mushy fruit salad that had seen better days.

Temp/car park/ cleanliness”

The rooms were very cold. I had 2 radiators brought in as the heating was blowing cold air. We had to oay for parking. Considering the location I thought that was greediness. This is mot a city centre hotel and they surely weren't short of parking spaces. There were pets in the hotel. When we checked we were told those rooms did not receive special cleaning. For people with babies, we thought that was just disgusting. Pets go everywhere. The restaurant was lovely. That's perhaps the only up side

Functional hotel close to airport”

Hotel wasn't as near to the airport terminal as compared to other hotels (Ibis and Novotel) but the shuttle service made the link convenient. Drivers were very helpful and courteous and was accommodating to give directions. Rooms were clean and modern, which were of higher quality than the Holiday Inn in Miami.

Convenient airport hotel”

I booked a standard room but upon arrival was offered an upgrade for a small fee. Glad we took advantage given the standard room, although clean, was soooo tiny, dark and rather dire. It would have sufficed for a place to put one's head down for the night if you were stuck somewhere and it would not have been great value if we did not take advantage of the upgrade. The executive room was in a different part of the building and much nicer. I think they are renovating all rooms soon. However all staff we came in contact with were very helpful and could not fault the service. Will consider again when traveling through Birmingham airport.

I pretty much enjoy the stay at the hotel. The room was reasonable given its price, however i only found out they just opened a new wing where the rooms are much nicer. Breakfast at the hotel was really nice and the place wasn't swarming with people neither. Staffs are pretty friendly overall, at the reception as well as in the restaurant. Excellent choice if seek for proximity to and from the airport but a little far off if visit the NEC is the intention
