Perfect location!”
We stayed for a night when my husband had his test in Manchester City. The hotel located in the heart of the city centre. It is very closed to the centre where my husband got his test and easy to explore Manchester City area by foot. The room is nice and clean. The issue is only with the Air Conditioning. We were not bother by it during our stay because it was winter. But it needs to be fixed for summer, as the room will be too warm without AC.

Good Location”
We loved this hotel. We came to Manchester from London via train. We walked to this hotel (took us about 20 minutes) from Piccadilly station. I'll recommend taking taxi or Uber if your luggage is too much hassle. Hotel is at a very good location (next to Manchester Metropolitan Uni) so the place is always buzzing with people. It's about 15 minutes walk to Arndale or you can take a bus there too if you don't fancy walking (bus stop is just a few steps away from hotel entrance). There's a bus stop opp the hotel to take you straight to Old Trafford if you are planning to go there (buy the Day Trip bus tics to save money). Halal food is aplenty (takeaway Archies a few doors down) or about 5 to 6 more dine-in just opp the hotel nearer to the Uni. There's a big Tesco too around that area. Hotel stay comes with complimentary breakfast (just egg, bacon, bread) but it's not halal but we do come down every morning to drink coffee/tea/hot choc (there's a machine) and eat bread.

Staff were superb upon check in/out and breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable, with a good choice of lighting and enough plug socket access. Shower rooms were modern, good powerful shower, and plenty of hot water. The only things I could identify needing attention were; shower walls were done in black tiles with grey grout, upon inspection the grouting was covered in black mould as it goes unnoticed by cleaners, and the shower tray needed unblocker pouring down the waste trap as water took ages to drain away. All in all very good stay, no hesitation about returning.

The hotel near to train station Oxford Road. Clean room and clean bathroom. Comfort bed and nice breakfast. Warm and helpfull staff. Recommended for leisure or bussiness stay. Easy to get transportation and near to restaurants.

I came here because the rate was competitive and I was not disappointed. Good and aesthetic hotel. I slept like a baby and that's what's important. Also comfortable desk area for laptop. Staff very friendly.

Love the cafe area where you can have a cup of hot tea or hot chocolate 24hrs a day !! Decent breakfast. Simple and easy concept. Location is perfect. Located in between of University of Manchester and the City Centre. Perfecto !!

Budget hotel in nofrills surroundings”
It was the second time I stayed this hotel when I stopped over Manchester. Wifi is faster than Premier Inn. It was very kind of the staff to clean the cup coffee machine cause it was my fault to spill coffee carelessly.

1. Staffs are courteous and obliging to us. 2. Difference from Hong Kong hotels, Britishs trust customers first, they don't need my passport to register and pay deposit in advance. 3. Location, location, location, this hotel is at city centre neighbourhood of University of Manchester. 4. In my room, I like the long desk good for my working from hotel.

The location is perfect for people coming to Manchester for city centre sight-seeing or events in the university area! It is right next to Manchester Oxford Road train station. Nearby 4-5 local or oriental convenient stores! (Oseyo the korean one is right opposite holiday inn and LaMeiZi the chinese one is just round the corner) There are lots of different restaurants around. Staff I met during the stay was all nice, polite and well-mannered. Breakfast is simple English-styled breakfast and definitely enough to start a good day. You may want to consider placing your luggage at the hotel reception temporarily after check out at 11am. One reminder before staying in this hotel is to bring your own cleaning toiletries e.g. toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, etc. They only provide an all-purpose handwash. Definitely I had a nice stay here and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to have a short stay in Manchester!

A few steps from MCO Station & awesome rooms”
This is recommended for all types of visits from business, family to solo travel. I was here 2013 & was impressed so I am back again this time. I complained about the smell in the room & I receive the new room which was perfect right away. The breakfast was a little of a hassle as the kitchen seemed to run out of wholewheat bread and other basic meats and eggs were not well prepared like back in 2013. Well, Spars is next door but the empty buffet trays around 8:30 a.m. sure reflects a little need for improvement here.

Such a lovely stay”
Excellent value for money. Beautiful location (walking distance to everywhere, right next to Oxford road train station). Rooms are spacious and flawless. Staff are helpful and kind. The only downside is that breakfast is lacking in variety (basically some cereal, fruits and maybe you can make yourself some jam and butter sandwich). And no access to gym. If it weren’t for the downside and you’re not bothered by it, it’s a true gem and I highly recommend it.

Keep calm and carry on”
Yesterday morning, I saw a well trained team to look after a woman lying down on the corridor. 1. The receptionist kept her position as communications centre when I reported the incident 2. The manager and his teammate rushed to the 5th floor, took care of and kept communication with the woman to check her consciousness until the police and further assistance. 3. I learned the art of this hotel management team: on a normal day they keep hotel calm and carry on, in urgency they keep calm and carry through.
