The location is good (5 min to center). But breakfast is bad I stayed 5 days, exactly same food all days. mostly english breakfast, no good cheese, tomato, olives or good pastry. same and one type egg everyday. no fresh juice. room is not heated well. I got cold. They gave me electric heater as a solution. cleaning and room is not very good. towels and blanket are not good quality

Nice place located near city center”
Although the hotel is not located next to the train station, you can just cross a street and then you can reach Birmingham City Council. Foods and restaurants are plenty there, it is good for both business and casual travellers to stay. The room is also new, nice and clean. But my room have minor issues and staff were helpful as well. In-hotel car park is available with about 13 pounds per night for parking, and at the entrance there are street parking as well. With this rate and if you are not necessarily stay in the city centre, this is a good choice.

Great stay at Ibis Birmingham”
From arriving on a rainy late afternoon our stay was excellent with a friendly welcome from the staff on reception. Our rooms (son & family were also staying) were warm, clean & spacious. The complimentary coffee machine at reception was also very welcome! Breakfast in the morning was also excellent with great choices. Could not be faulted. Beds were also very comfortable. All in all a great stay and would recommend highly!

Excellent hotel very near Victoria Square”
I couldn’t fault this hotel. Twice the price during the Commonwealth Games but still good value, spotlessly clean and well positioned near the city centre. Would definitely stay again.

Everything was good except : Room service was not great, towels & bed sheets were not changed and room was not cleaned the next day despite leaving the card on the door. Air conditioning was not working, on raising the issue, alternate room was provided which also had the same problem. On asking to get it checked, reason was given that maintenance department was not available.

Overall I had an enjoyable stay at Ibis Styles. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well equipped and the bed was comfortable. The shower was great and had lovely products in it. The bad points were that the lighting in the room was very dingy, the bar downstairs was poorly stocked (luckily there is a good pub just yards away from the hotel) and the choice of food at breakfast was not great. They ran out of scrambled eggs before 8.45 and were not cooking more, even though breakfast is served until 10.30am. Other than that, I was happy with my stay and the location is great for the train stations, the shopping and the canal area.

We booked the hotel for its location and value and had a very pleasant surprise. The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, and we could not complain. The room was clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was large with a good walk-in shower. The underground car park was safe and secure. Our booking said a light breakfast was included but we had a cooked breakfast at no extra charge. Overall, good location, great value for money. Check out The Shakespeare Inn next door. Very good beer and food at very reasonable prices

OK, but expensive. The hotel bar has a very limited selection. No iron in room as advertised. Bread selection at breakfast limited and toaster leaves bread raw or burnt.

Ibis styles was kinda expensive. Our room was nice, even tho I don't think they've ever cleaned the floor in a week (as soon as I came in, there was a plastic envelop next to the bed and it just remained there the whole time). The breakfast was the worst breakfast I had in all my travels: both the food and the drinks are clearly the lowest quality (mmh, not sure this is healthy for clients...). Spoons and cup were still dirty 3 times on 5. Bathrooms were the cleanest thing (luckly!).

Really poor, only one pillow each, asked for more and nobody bothered to do so or even tell us that they couldn't. Room booking said the room had a sofa....no sofa! Bed was two singles pushed together!

check-in / check-out was quick and simple. food display shelves in the breakfast area were dirty. staff were friendly but not well informed on things to do in the area. breakfast was too simple and not worth what we paid. tried to order snacks from the kitchen but were given take out menus instead. rooms were tidy but soap dispenser in the bathroom was damaged, mugs were dirty.

It was ok, staff very friendly, breakfast good, room awesome for budget travel however although wi-fi was available i couldn't connect to the router. very weak signal in the room or reception area and the room card keys failed two times and I needed to go to the reception changing them. overall it was good and i still recommend it.
