A very expensive room. Carpets need cleaning and hotel needs loads of TLC. The Bank or the accountants have been in control and reduced it to bare bones.

Smallest Hotel Room”

If you stay at this hotel ensure you do not get room 302, we stayed for 4 nights which involved various manoeuvres when getting ready at night as if one of us was using the mirror the other had to climb over the bed! Also ensure you are given information on arrival about the room servicing, we had a full bin in our room for the whole stay despite repeated requests to have it emptied!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lansdown Grove Hotel. The hotel is located a short but steep walk (or bus ride) up from the city centre and offers a little bit of calm away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel looked as though it has recently been decorated and refurbished - our room, the lounges, bar, library and restaurant were particularly attractive. The staff were very polite and efficient and members of the management team hovered quietly in the background ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that travellers received good customer service. We stayed on a B&B basis and enjoyed the breakfast offering (full English breakfast and pancakes with honey and fruit) however, we struggled to get a 'hot' cup of coffee. Our room was a double deluxe with city view - the room was as described, quiet and comfortable. We did however miss the pre-covid extras like hotel information book, cushions & bed throw which make a room feel cosy.

A good spring cleaning everywhere would help. Missed fresh flowers - no flowers anywhere in the building. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Very nice common rooms / spaces.

Lovely hotel ”

We stayed in room 302 which was quite small with a massive bathroom , had everything you needed, hairdryer, ironing board, iron , tea and coffee , lovely toiletries and massive white fluffy towels , breakfast was lovely and all the staff were friendly

Gorgeous Boutique Hotel”

A fabulous hotel with wonderful views over beautiful Bath. Gorgeous rooms and wonderful staff. I would definitely recommend booking this excellent hotel.
