Facade needs upgrade but interiors is good. Noise can be a problem in the night as windows are not sound proof sensitive. Rooms were spacious and well made.

Centrally located, otherwise underwhelming ”

Old property but great location, stone's throw away from bus station and railway station and major restaurants and shopping street. But the room isnt that great, bathroom was really small and dimly lit. Its fine for corporate travels only. Limited and repeated breakfast menu. I have ztayed at better Mercure hotels in Europe. Friendly staff.

Central City hotel”

The hotel was an ideal loctaion for this solo traveller for accessing the various sites in the city. The hotel room was a decent size with comfortable beds and a five minute walk from the main bus station where many of the day tours depart.

Good location near train station Simple rooms , clean . Prices vary so take care booking And check breakfast included I booked as site showed breakfast…when we arrived it was not and cost £11 each per day

Centre of town”

Good hotel, has a view over the river. really nice breakfast, including help yourself shots of Scottish whisky :D Room is not huge, small bathroom, but I guess we are dealing with European prices

One plus is a location. It is in the heart of old town. Room is small, hair from previous guest were in the bathroom over sink and shelf. Room wasn’t clean on the second day of my stay ((( Very upset with such poor service.

The hotel has a lovely homley and cosy feel inside, great for coming back to after for cold rainy days exploring the stunning countryside or city. We felt really at home here very quickly. Please don’t judge it on what it looks like from the outside - you will missed a very well priced enjoyable stay which is perfectly positioned on the river in the centre of Inverness.

Overpriced at 211 GBP per room, didn't even include breakfast. Booking system confusing.”

Price at 211 GBP per night per room was more than double the 98 GBP we paid for the Inverness Royal Highland Hotel next the station on our northbound journey. Mercure skimped on toiletries and bedroom provisions; no bottled water in room. Shower taps difficult to operate and no hand-rail in shower. No waiter service for tea and coffee at breakfast, so guests had to make their own from dispensing machine at far end of dining room. Mercure's online booking system needs to be rationalised as it is very unclear and resulted in much time-wasting. I do not see how they can justify accepting cancellations but refusing to refund the money.

Good value for money , clean , ok for an overnight stay . But sound proof is not so great . Right in front of the river , many seagulls making noise .

If you get a room that is facing town, it can get noisy on weekend nights. Room feels dated and needs a refresh. Ventilation started making noise shortly after we entered the room, staff said they will send someone but no one came.

Good Value City Centre Accommodation”

Good sized comfortable and quiet room at a very reasonable room rate. Staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast a bit steep at £11 and a standard malt whisky in the bar over twice the price of another hotel two hundred metres along the road.
