The biggest problem is one could not get right outside the hotel to offload the bags. Had to park in a multi story car park which was expensive

Central close to everything ”
Very pleased we changed our plans to stay at The Moxy. We loved that it is in close walking distance to all the major attractions and for those that are on a budget the Co-Op is just down the road to get some sandwiches or pre packed meals. We were also able to leave our luggage on early arrival so we could go explore and the staff were very helpful. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

Fabulous hotel & fabulous staff”
We arrived at the hotel and were welcomed with a friendly smile to check us in, they then told us we had a complimentary welcome drink which was a Gin Punch, this was such a nice touch! When booking the hotel I had made a request for balloons in the room, if it was possible, as it was my boyfriends birthday. I wasn’t very hopeful of this request to be honest, but to my surprise - there were multiple blown up balloons in the room to decorate! Thank you so much to the staff who did this!! In the evening, we had a couple of drinks at the hotel bar. It has such a nice vibe to it and great music to match. Again, the staff were absolutely brilliant and were super friendly with all the customers that were sat around the bar. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any of their names but it was 3 girls at around 8:30pm on Sat 2nd April - I’d love it if the girls could get some recognition for their great work ethic. Thanks again for a great stay.

A great hotel, central to everything. Our children loved the lobby and the whole vibe. Staff were exceptional and the family room was spacious and quiet.

Expensive Breakfast”
Rooms very small especially the bathroom. Need to be small to use it. no hooks in bathroom to hang any clothes. Bedroom was fine but no drawers to put clothes in. Music was loud in the bar/entrance. Had not paid for breakfast but was a set cost of 12.50 which turned out to be an asset expensive porridge.

After many attempts to obtain a refund or credit due to Covid 19 restrictions, ie Australian government travel ban and airline cancelling flights, the hotel just cancelled our booking. No care or thought for us, lack of empathy. When we travel again Moxy York and their Hotel Group will not be on our list! Very hard to contact them if you have any problems.

The location is a bit far away, the design is good,but there are not enough facilities in the room.
