Cancelled and lied”

They cancelled our booking without telling us, then lied and blamed Agoda! We had travelled 200 miles, and had to sort out a new hotel late in the day! Avoid as they have a history of doing this, check their reviews for proof.

Far below expectations”

Arrived late on Saturday night to a staffed desk. They checked me in without an issue and guided me to the room. On arrival it was clearly far below standard - very disappointing for the price we paid. My brother was also staying in the hotel and on visiting his room it was clear some rooms had received a renovation and others hadn't. I went to reception to ask why when spending the same amount I was in a poor room and my brother was in a renovated room. The receptionist said he will sort something out and offered breakfast but we weren't planning on staying for breakfast. We eventually got moved to another room which had had a lick of paint. It wasn't great still. Curtain was hanging off the rail, lamp was a danger with the bulb fitting hanging off and the bedding had holes in it. We went for a drink in the bar but wow - this was much the same with very dirt glasses 6 glasses we sent back as they all had very clear lipstick marks on them! Very over priced also - £25 for a bottle

Excellent location, ample parking, clean, comfortable, on site restaurant, welcoming, pleasant, polite, helpful, friendly, courteous staff. Comfortable bed, ease of checking in and out.

Excellent location and value for money for a family with children”

We were looking for a place to stay close to Birmingham airport for a family with children. We booked through Agoda because the other booking sites (including Ramada's own Web site) did not have the same family offer, and we got a luxurious double room with a foldable bed (pulls out below the double bed) for a good price because children under 15 stay for free. Excellent location in the centre of Solihull, a couple of minutes walking from the bus stop with frequent bus connections to the centre of Birmingham and to the airport (the receptionists that registered us did not know there was a bus line to the airport, X12).

Nice hotel, helpful staff”

Good location for our needs. Not all the information from our Agoda booking appeared on the hotel's booking (i.e. that we were travelling with a young child) but the hotel upgraded our room and solved the problem quickly.

Wonderful room”

We booked into the Ramada for an overnight stay before our departure to Greece the next day. On hearing that our last visit had been our wedding reception 49 years ago at the then George Hotel, the receptionist upgraded our room . The room was spacious , clean and very ornate. A lovely surprise. Thank you Ramada.

I read some negative reviews and rang ahead to ask for the refurbished rooms. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely. Would recommend and would stay again.

Have stayed here a few times and never had any issues. Staff are great, rooms are lovely and clean and very spacious.

The Ramada in Solihull couldn't be better located. It is just off the main street with pubs and restaurants literally next door. It was good value and the breakfast was excellent. Perfect for my overnight stay in Solihull.

Very nice , great location for us . Only one problem and that was the 2nd floor bedrooms were ridiculously hot . Not necessarily their fault . its damn hot outside , but there is no air con . However I would stay again as long as the room rates stay reasonable and dont spiral out of control like other hotels in Solihull and Knowle . We have the possibility to block book quite a few rooms for next February.

Very well appointed, however room was dated, very warm and noisy”

The hotel is in a great location and is a decent size. We had one of the split level suites which was decent enough for the price, however it was very warm (no ac, centralised or otherwise) which meant leaving the window open at all times. This led to a lot of noise from neighbouring Morrison supermarket including from 8.30/9am on Sunday. The staff were very friendly on arrival and when checking out. Car park included for free when staying at the hotel. The downfalls did not ruin our stay, but being a Ramada you would expect a little better.

We have stayed here before & always found it to be good. We took my hubbys mum & Dad for a Meal in the evening on entry to the reception area. My father I/l who’s 86 lent back on what looked like a door it was not it had a unstable Z frame display in front of it & he ended up in a cupboard area used to house public telephone!!!!! Smacked his head bruises all down his arms & very shaken. Totally stupid thing to do by the hotel. He’s ok but it could have been very different!! Well I suppose I did get a free glass of water !!!!!! When we go again if this display is still in situ I will be taking it further.....
