I can not fault neither the staff or location I have to say I am a bit disappointed. I was led to believe this was a high class hotel as when I booked it I got a 75% discount. I paid 75 euro per night, but the hotel looks like it was last renovated 20 years ago. I think this discount is just a trick to lure customers in. Outside I saw soda cans scattered on the grounds. Nobody during the 3 days I stayed bothered to pick them up. The room was fairly spacious, but the remote was not working well. The bathroom felt very dated. I was led to believe from the description there would be parking on site(another reason I chose it), but in fact it was on the street and you had to buy city vouchers. Luckily it wasnt too expensive or hard to find parking though. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast room is tiny and could not accomodate the amount of guests, so often you could not get a table and had to wait. There is no elevator either, so with a top room not easy with heavy suitcases.

Booked this through Agoda as a family of 4. Got a triple room with nothing extra. Staff could not help with _anything_, no extra bed, even said that they did not HAVE extra bedding, no pillow, duvet or blanket, at all at the hotel. We asked for a refund, but the hotel claimed they did not know we were 4 and refused a refund, and nothing to make the stay bearable. At this point they started becoming rude, even accusing us of wanting more than we had ordered, pointing at their docs and ignoring that we had ordered for four persons. We stayed the night since it was becoming late, with me (dad) sleeping on the floor... Tried talking to staff in the morning. New person, extremely rude and aggressive. Decided to leave and complain to Agoda. Agoda asked the _hoteL_ and we got nothing. Will not use Agoda nor this hotel ever again. NB! No pool, bar or anything at the hotel, even if their page says so. The matress in the single bed was horrible. The hotel is very run down. TL/DR: Rude staff.

Had people banging on the hotel room door next door to us for a good hour before reception came with a key to let them in, bearing in mind this room was next to reception! The noise from that room all night was awful. The next morning we got told that there was no space for us for breakfast (about 5 seats in a tiny dining room) and we couldn't wait because it finished at 9.30 and it was 9am. So having this included in the price and not getting it was annoying! But quite glad now as the room was so dirty I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like! Won't be back again and wouldn't send my worst enemy to stay here it's that bad! Could do with a good clean, update and either a big enough room to serve breakfast to all guests or simply don't add it into room prices!

Good for a night`s stop over”
Staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful. Bed linen and towels always top grade clean and inviting. Didn't have breakfast as I prefer buffet not serviced. TV remote was missing. Location is bad at present due to Art school fire closing roads. There is no elderly or disabled access as lots of steps outside to getting into the building.

Inaccurate advertisement of hotel”
Advertised as full Scottish breakfast - nothing Scottish about it and very poor breakfast. If required early (advertised as being able to have an early breakfast) then you get given toast. No shower products provided in bathroom. Staff generally unhelpful. Hotel info inaccurate on agoda.com (apparently the hotel has an outdoor swimming pool). Room average sized and option to drop bags off before room was ready so not all bad. On balance price to high for service provided.

Breakfast was good some interesting features in entrance carpets very worn room was very basic and needed painting and decorating to freshen up material on chair was very stained Front windows desparatley need maintenance/ repair and re-painting

great location in front of the apartment there is a beautiful beach and a bus stop that goes directly to Victoria. good value, highly recommend it

One night midweek stopover close to main shopping area, Nice pleasant staff, Breakfast was 5 stars highly rated and not to be missed, Only negative is a good walk to Glasgow Central train station, hotel is a bit dated and could to with a makeover but overall very happy with stay and would stay again in the future, got a very good deal for a midweek stopover and was very happy all in all i would rate this hotel 8 out of 10.

What a Dump”
I do not recommend anyone using this hotel. I booked this as a treat for my wife who loves Rennie Mackintosh the hotel had nothing to do with him or his work and is an affront to his name. The price is absolutely ridiculous, this place is lucky to get 1* rating The staff were abrupt and unfriendly, the whole place was run down. You might forgive some issues if the staff were making an effort but the whole place was filthy and even simple cheap repairs were not being done. There was a few Rennie Mackintosh touches but no more than any other old Glasgow hotel, con. The receptionist wanted to photo copy my credit card even though I had paid online before arrival ???? I will put a review on Tripadvisor with pictures.

Best option in Glasgow for an affordable night out”
Lived in Glasgow for many years and came back wanting a night out in our old favourite bars on Sauchiehall Street. All the hotel options were overpriced and pretty poor - when did glasgow hotels become such a rip off. This was a great option - fab price, great location, basic but very clean and comfortable room. Perfect!

Short Glasgow visit”
A very pleasant hotel with very friendly staff. Excellent Scotish breakfast (delicious sausages!) 5 minute or so walk to main shops, restaraunts etc... We would stay again if we return to Glasgow.

Really pleased with my stay at the hotel. Reasonable price, clean, nice staff. Sometimes it can be difficult to get a hotel in Glasgow. Would happily stay here again.

Disgraceful bathroom”
Stayed in room 2 and condition of shower was disgraceful. Water drained do slowly that after 5 minutes the water was above your ankles. The shower hose connections leaked badly at both ends. The shower controller was barely hanging onto wall and sealant around tray was in very poor condition. Breakfast portions miserly.

Decent place to stay”
It's an old building, so I didn't have high expectations arriving. The room had a strange oder (maybe because the bathroom fan didn't work) and the toilet didn't flush properly. The walls are paper-thin, so you can hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms/bathrooms. Tiny dining room but decent food for the price. Location is 20 min walk from the center, so not bad. The kind and helpful staff definitely made up for the hotel's few shortcomings.
