We really enjoyed our stay very helpful friendly staff, food was amazing, Just a few minor things we had no slippers or robes in our room nor any WiFi.

Can't fault the Hotel”
Nice clean hotel with good levels of customer service were provided, and pretty good internet speed. I was a little surprised to find I was unable to have a drink with dinner in the restaurant, and instead had to order one from my room, but I guess this is government policy rather than the hotel's choice. The Haggis parcel starter was absolutely divine. I will be back!

Beautiful stay”
Staff was wonderful and loved our room with clawfoot tub. Area was wonderful for walking to see outside Glasgow city center.

Nice hotel but not the best castle.”
Nice and well maintained but no general lobby lounging area, which was a big disappointment as we expected more from a castle hotel. It seems more like a business venue/hotel. The rooms didn’t have much ventilation or windows that opened so it got a little stuffy. Overall though, beautiful and comfortable. In terms of just hotel quality 5/5. What you expect from a castle hotel 2.5/5

We were there for a wedding and it was fabulous, the staff efficient and food great. Just one thing though my sister was unable to stay as there was no lift which we were unaware of.

Luxurious room , great Scottish style food , good service with warm hospitality”
After the first arrival, our family had been treated warmly by Thai staff (Ms.Eddie) in the castle hotel. Essentially it was so surprising that a Thai person existed here in remoting area! This made our trip very smooth to communicate and the hotel is very beautiful and classic. Although the hotel is a bit far from city centre in Glasgow, it probably is the ideal place for either honeymooners or family who needs privacy. Love there so much ! Lovely food and lovely people. Will definitely come back again.

First time in Scotland, perfect place to stay, loved the food, room, and especially the staff. Special mention to Angela who made us feel extremely welcome. If there is another time in Scotland will definitely be on my list. Thank you Sherwood.

Grand Property”
We only had one night at this grand accommodation and loved it. It is in a lovely setting and the staff were efficient and friendly. A spacious room with a modern bathroom, we found the room rather warm but we're able to open the windows for fresh air. We enjoyed our dinner in the dining room and had a hearty breakfast before we left.

Lovely hotel but location was a bit inconvenient”
We chose the hotel based on the pictures, and it did not disappoint. Set against a picturesque background, the small castle stood out. However, we were unprepared for the difficulty of getting to the hotel. We thought it would be accessible by train, but the train was scheduled only once per hour (our mistake for not checking in advance). I have dust allergies and found myself sneezing in the room, but was resolved when i took off the bed covers. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were so helpfull! We requested for twin rooms and was assigned to a detached area of the castle, which was a bit disappointing. Lugging around our heavy luggage was a chore, but someone assisted us when we first checked in. Would recommend this to couples.

We had 2 rooms at the Sherbrooke, each was clean and well stocked. Upon arrival the staff was attentive, friendly, and bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. There is no lift (elevator) but they will carry your luggage up to your room for you. I would recommend this castle hotel to everyone! How amazing is it to be able to stay in such a historic location!
