Highly recommend for a Kingston-central stay”
This was my first time staying here and it was during a business trip to Kingston. I had read previous reviews, some of which were quite negative, but I found the reception staff to be lovely, the room fantastic and everything was extremely clean. Looks like they have put in new carpets as well. I didn't try the breakfast or any other facilities, but I've already booked in another stay in a few weeks time.

Use your door key to get through the corridor”
I could not get into the corridor to my room! But I was quickly shown that I should use my room door key to open that door. If you want to have a lie in and not be woken up early by the glorious sunshine, ask for a room with an even number on the west side of the building.

Good short stay”
We stayed here for 6 nights while visiting family nearby. The hotel is in Kingston town centre which is busy and noisy but the 6th floor of the hotel where we were staying is much quieter. There was new carpet in the room and a comfortable bed, tea /coffee facilities and an adequate shower room with good shower. Breakfast was included for us and had hot and cold food options though not everything was available every day. The coffee machine wasn't working on the second morning but kettles were on hand. The staff were friendly and helpful and we would probably stay there again.

sleepless night!”
Room fine,service fine. Bit confused when entering ground floor lobby as couldnt find any lift summons buttons. Shame no air con as it was a hot night. Picked the wrong night for having what window opening there was as the noise was horrendous from the newly opened night-club neaby. Didnt get much sleep which was not helped at all by rowdy neighbours in immediate attached room (502?) - thought they were taking the place apart! The continual shouting and banging and slamming of doors from them added to the general outside noise level and made the night rather long and sleepless!

Late checkout”
We paid for the late checkout service to check out at 14:00 on Monday the 31st of May. 3 different members of the staff knocked on the door around 12 asking us to leave and one of them tried to open the door. It was very uncomfortable as it was me and my girlfirend in the room. When the lady opened the door on us it was akward. No words to describe what happened

Great location central to Kingston. Large room, comfy bed, duvet, pillows and towels good quality. Just needs a few simple extras: Bath mat, couple of drawers & glasses/plastic beakers for water. TV hardly visible, too dark and could not alter. All in all, we'd stay again if visiting family.

Budget, basic but good”
Great location in the centre of town. It's a budget hotel but is clean and has everything you need for a good night's sleep. Some of the other guest can be loud, particularly at the weekend, but that's not the fault of the hotel. Breakfast was fine, more than enough. Would stay again if I found myself in Kingston. I am sure we could have paid more but this was more than adequate.

No hot water ”
There was no hot water on arrival and had to wait until the next afternoon for it to be fixed. The room cards also did not give access to our room and had to swap this 3 times. Friendly and helpful staff and ideal location. Watch out for the pigeons when leaving the main exit as they are dirty and everywhere

No house keeping!!!”
I used to stay at this place and I jad never encountered what I experienced this time. There was no house keeping at all until I approached a staff and voiced my concern. It was so difficult to locate a staff btw. My towels were not replaced and bins not cleared! Even though I placed the "clean room" tag outside my door diligently everyday. I hope this is an isolated experience as I really wish to continue my stay here in future.
