Newly renovated hotel on the start of Lord Street. Supermarket next door. No onsite car park and need to park at an outdoor parking area.

Stayed 3 days, maid service emptied bins. Left beds unmade, didn't change dirty towels left in shower. Had to visit reception where we were given fresh towels each day. Nightmare, best avoided...

Very clean and tidy. Great location. Very plain and basic. No a/c. We were not able to gain access inside the hotel with our card after hours. Calling for assistance was also unsuccessful. After what seemed like many minutes the door opened with no explanation.

V impressed with the room. Location is great with good access to town. Not happy about £20 charge for dogs, even though it’s only for one night but same price for longer stays. Also we had no electricity in the room, called reception who said he d come up then did nothing so no chance to charge my phone which was needed to contact family and no kettle Different staff member sorted it immediately in the morning. Overall o would recommend n stay there again

We have stayed at this Travel Lodge before, there is the old bingo car park at the rear and partial section of this is for the hotel, we have always fell lucky and found a space, location is great for the shops and cross the road to the main shopping centre and train station, we usually catch the 40 min train to Liverpool on occasions, Wetherspoon is 2- mins away for your meals, breakfast etc, book early for dis-counted rates.
