Wifi doesnt always connect

The place was dirty when I got there like it had been cleaned. The toilet has been flushed. paid £100 deposit and when I tried to contact them back to get my deposit back they did not respond so I had to go through booking.com to get my deposit back. Truly and utterly a disgrace.

The heaters worked well

No toilet roll or towels ! Host informed me due to COVID no towels supplied but bedding was ! how does that make sense ? apparently it was clearly stated at time of booking ? I never saw that ! Had to buy towels so we could shower , but that was a worry as there was thick black mould around the shower tray edge ! The fridge freezer and oven filthy , generally the whole property was dirty and tired . Only one knife and that was a cutlery knife . One bed had a thin 4.5 tog duvet not suitable for winter , my colleague slept in her clothes . The entrance was via a patio door with a simple patio lock, easy to break into feeling very insecure. The property £63 a night reasonable but not cheap - you get what you pay for but there is no excuse for lack of cleanliness especially under the current COVID circumstances, especially when the host is referring to COVID restrictions about towels , it clearly goes no further than that as proof in the grubby dirty conditions . I just want somewhere decent to sleep after a hard day setting up a trade show at NEC ! we didn’t get any comfort from this property and felt worse for staying there ☹️ Needs a deep clean and a lick of fresh paint - oh yes ..... toilet roll be good and bath towels !

The owner was incommunicado all through my stay…No Wi Fi password….we asked for everything,she didn’t reply until the day we were supposed to leave.

The cold was too much…Heater wasn’t working…we had to buy a heater to keep us warm.

Stayed in this appartment for horse of the year show 2021 at the NEC which was only a 15 minute drive so very convenient. Nice clean property, bright and airy, very friendly and helpful landlady who did everything to make our stay an enjoyable one...she really went the extra mile for us which is a rare quality these days. Great price and nice and private. Full deposit returned as soon as the property had been checked over. Lots of takeaways and a convenience store within a 2 minute walk. Both beds super comfy, all ground floor which was great for my disabilities, plenty of parking outside the shops right near to the flat. Really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back for next years horse of the year show. Highly recomended and at a bargain price. Thank you for everything.

Was no dish towel or mop, pan handles are falling off very strange smell, need lamps for bedrooms

The whole apartment needs a good clean top to bottom first ever time I've had to partially clean and even change the bedding in somewhere I've stayed in my life. Refund was refused and currently my deposit is being held over its time also.

Dirty and poorly maintained. Old stained bedlinen. I could not trust the cleaning because it was done sloppily and I do not think this level of negligence is acceptable in Covid times. The place is noisy and one can hear the neighbours early in the morning. It feels unsafe because of the internal door to the other property. In the photos it looks modern and spotless but in reality it is rather shabby with dirty walls with holes.

The bathroom had a mould/drain smell and the small bedroom bed was dusty couldn’t sleep on it and mattress was poor condition

The kitchen and bathroom were good and clean and had everything needed like tissues and utensils.

The 1 bed was so bad to sleep on because it was squeaky, you can hear peoples voice through the walls and pets too, the sofas were dirty we had to clean them, in between them there was rubbish and the entrance itself was unreliable because the first door had no lock and there are lots of flys when coming inside, the tv was so bad we could place any movies from my harddrive, so we had to watch on my laptop.

Currently arguing with booking about getting refunded. They are not being helpful, apparently it is upto me and the accommodation to organise this. I expect this kind of accommodation on Airbnb but not Booking. I expect hotel type accommodation on here. This is the worst accommodation I have stated in for this price, and I have traveled 3rd world countries.

Currently arguing with booking about getting refunded. We ended up only staying here 1 night out of 5 as the apartment if you can call it that was terrible. We felt unsafe. Unclean, we had to go and purchase our own bedding so we could stay the one night. Bedding stained, no mattress protectors. The walls covered in stains and what looked liked food. The main bedroom had a adjoining door to a apartment nextdoor. We could here the people on the other side of the door using the bathroom and arguing until 2am. I wasn't sure if they had a key to the door. So we felt our belongings were unsafe to leave. At 8am we were woken up by some builders that appear to be using the space outside the apartment to store scaffolding. There is no real fridge, oven or hob. The kitchen is unfinished with no door handles etc. I'm not sure this place has planning permission, it looks like a illigal HOM. I ended up booking alternative accommodation at 2am for the same price which was 100% better. Check NEC chalets do not book here.

Spacious

False advertising, no soundproofing we didn’t sleep for the 2 nights we were here as there is a thin door that leads to the apartment next door which was occupied by junkies smoking weed etc, shouting laughing all night, very unsettling for 2 girls and a disabled elderly person. The door has a massive keyhole they are able to look through and watch us. No ironing facilities as advertised, second bedroom bed springs were so loud and you could feel them, not comfortable at all, master bedroom bed ok. No towels or anything. Would not recommend to a young family or women. We travelled all the way from scotland to have 2 very unsettling nights.
