Birthday Stay!”
We came here to celebrate our daughter's Birthday & attend a concert at BIC. The staff are very friendly & helpful. The hotel had quite an old fashioned feel about it but that only added to it's charm! A very positive experience.

Great Value and centrally situated”
Stayed in this hotel for six nights. Ideally situated if you want to shop, visit the conference centre or go to the beach. Hotel staff were excellent and the food was good. The only thing is that to park your car at the hotel you are charged £8.00 per day. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Very helpful staff ”
Only down side - due to age the floorboards are very very squeaky. No creeping to the loo.

First time in Bournemouth ”
Excellent hotel, centrally situated and near shopping or seafront. The only drawback is car parking and very expensive at hotel.

Dog owner”
Stayed with my small dog. Staff very good with this and only charged £5 extra per night for him. Great location for walks on the promenade with him.

Graduation Group”
The booking was for three single rooms and unfortunately one of the rooms smelt badly of smoke. When reception was advised, they quickly arranged a change of room and also upgraded the room. There was a good choice at breakfast and despite a large number of residents, there was no shortage of anything. All of the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.

Great stay near the BIC”
We chose The Trouville for its proximity to the BIC where we had a concert to attend. It was so nice to come back to the bar within minutes of the event ending. We also had breakfast the next day which is buffet style. We’d book again.

Quite good value ”
Even tho the Trouville is in need of modernisation our one night stay was quite comfy, I though bed was good but hubby thought it was too firm, shower was good also, Everything was there you’d expect from a basic hotel tho did not use any facilities. Staff were extremely helpful as we had a bit problem with access for our disabled mum but they sorted it out very satisfactory. The only problem that as there was a couple of coach loads there, they didn’t seem to have enough staff in the bar on the evening and so there was a long wait to get served. All in all our stay was pleasant enough.

Very good”
Although the staff were very friendly and downstairs was modern, the same could not be said for the room. Carpet was probably from the 60’s the shower well let’s just say don’t expect a quick powerful one, not good if you have thick hair. Unless you can hover over the floorboards then you won’t have a problem but I’d like me you can’t then expect very noisy floorboards, though clean it does need a lot of TLC . Apart from that it’s in a wonderful location, 5 minute walk to the beach front and 10 to the town centre. If your happy to stay in a somewhat run down room then this is the perfect place to stay. Otherwise I would recommend paying a little more and staying somewhere else.

Great location near beach and town centre ”
Had a twin room which was clean and quiet with a sea view on the top floor. Had breakfast with a good choice cooked veggie sausage on request. Easy walking distance to the beat and town. Parking easy to find and accessible to the hotel. Downside was the pool, jacuzzi and sauna although they were clean they were cold therefore not usable in my opinion as the main reason for booking the hotel. Did report this as did many guests and there was little improvement in the three nights I was there. So used the swimming pool at Suncliff instead which part of the same hotel group but a 20 minute walk away.

Review”
Bit of a “tired” hotel. Clean but some decor covering a multitude of sins. Breakfast average, buffet style but been sitting there for ages.

Cold breakfast ”
Stayed for 3 nights, breakfast was adequate but cold. Complained at reception on the second day but still cold next morning. Couldn't be bothered to make a fuss as I knew we wouldn't be coming back again. The mattress was too firm, asked for a topper so they put on a couple of quilts which didn't do much. We were in room 100, right at the front of the hotel, there's no air conditioning so had to have the window open - boy was it noisy with all the traffic going through and passers boy. The jacuzzi was cold on the Sunday evening too. The place could really do with a deep clean and an upgrade. Shame because it is in a good location.

Clean but the rooms do NOT look like the pics on here.”
If you're looking for a room in a hotel just 5 minutes walk from Bournemouth town centre, then this is a great hotel. The hotel parking is a so close to town, that you'll battle with non-residents to get a space, and if you're lucky you'll see someone urinating behind one of the cars (!). IMPORTANT: The rooms look nothing like the pictures on here!!! The interior of the hotel and the room put us in mind of bedsits. The smell, the very old and tatty decor, fixtures and fittings. I didn't walk barefoot in there! The bed linen was clean, so the room fulfilled only a very basic requirement. The staff we encountered were pleasant and polite. I think this is a case of - have low expectations! Take it as a clean place to sleep, close to town for a very quick retreat at the end of your day/night, and you won't be disappointed. Perfect if you're going out drinking, as somewhere to collapse for the night.

Ovewrnight stay”
Felt the room was overpriced for one night with a dog. Always given one of the least desirable rooms with a dog and although we expect to pay extra to take her with us it would be nice to get an updated room.
