Find hotels near Tsukuba in Tsukuba, Japan

Very close to Bus & Train station, very clean rooms, helpful staff, great value for money. Hotel is very clean and locate same location to department store. It was an enjoyable stay. The hotel also has self-serve laundry. I also liked an idea of environmental resourced conservation. there is 'No cleaning' system implemented by the hotel and customer can get some gift. I would stay at this hotel again when in Tsukuba.

The Okura chain is always good. The Epochal Frontier has a great location in Tsukuba, not far from the bus and train station. Across the street is DAYZ TOWN (mall) which has several restaurants and a supermarket, which is open until something like 24:00. The staff is helpful and professional. The room sizes range, but I think are larger than most Japanese business hotels. I had a special online price and was surprised to find only one pillow, but imagine this was to make it clear that Japanese hotels are usually pay per person. The breakfast was basic but very worth the roughly $10 US price. A previous time I think I even borrowed a bike from the hotel, which was impressive, although that might have been at the other Okura (I forget). The other Okura hotel is even closer to the train/bus station, but seems to have smaller rooms. Either one though is very clean and has good service.

I love to visit Tsukuba place, cuz it's calm city but clean and warm place for me. Pretty much you can find anything you need there, and this place I feel pretty much wide and calm. Shopping center is just located beside the hotel, and you can't miss many restaurants and izakayas as well. For relexing, I frequently visit this place and it's sweetness is different from Tokyo's fun.

Nov 2015. 2-people Japanese style room (futons). 10 to 15 minute walk from 'Tsukuba City Center (shopping complex), Narita to Tsukuba bus stop, and Tsukuba Express train station (Tsukuba station)'. Hotel and room was clean. Carpet and building are rather old. Can hear traffic from Nishi Oodori (street), but is not too noisy. Everything works (lights / plumbing). Breakfast is simple - miso soup, rice and toppings. Family run hotel so staff is friendly and accomodating.

Relatively inexpensive hotel with all the amenities such as free use of yukata (Japanese bathrobe), free coffee, free unused slippers that you can take home, free use of bicycle, etc. The shower area is a bit small though. It is walking distance to the Tsukuba International Congress Center, and a bit farther to the train station and bus terminal. If you do take a taxi to the train station or bus terminal, it doesn't cost much beyond the 730 yen base fare. They provide an inexpensive simple Japanese buffet breakfast that you need to order the night before.

The hotels views are very nice. But we were looking at the Osen for some needed relaxation. The pictures online are of the one across the street. The hotels is just a single tub in a small room. Sadly dinner is from 6 till 7 and the osen across the street closes at 7. Not the typical times of other osens in Japan. For the price this was an expected amenity that fell terribly short. Would not recommend if that's what you are expecting.
