For peace and quiet and away from it all ”
We just spent two days there as we only live one kilometre away so it was just for a birthday break and suited our needs very well.... We dined out from the resort as prices are much cheaper in town at least half the price... If they reduced their price I expect more people would dine in... There was a mini bar in the rooms but I don't like the idea of paying 100 pesos corkage to drink your own wine or beer in your own accommodation... Fair enough if at the restaurant but not in your own room.... Internet was not posible in our room but not a major for us... If you want a pleasant peaceful stay in Moalboal then I do indeed recommend the Turtle Bay Dive Resort as we have been to many local resorts in the area and this is in the top five....

Excellent stay at Turtle Bay”
My wife and I stayed 2 nights at Turtle Bay Dive Resort in September 2012. The resort is beautiful! Nice design and décor of the buildings, rooms, restaurant, pool, landscaping and overall layout of the resort. The rooms are very well appointed, very clean and comfortable. The restaurant has both indoor & outdoor areas, with lounge areas to relax, all with very nice wooden artwork and accent lighting. Most importantly, they prepared very good food. The Staff was very friendly and accommodating as well. We met the owner’s daughter, who was also very friendly, appreciative to us as guests and a pleasure to speak with. I mentioned to her that we greatly enjoyed our stay and I would be sure to post a review (which, I rarely do). To the Owners and Staff: Job well done! Keep up the great work and hope to see you again soon!

Exceptional”
Turtle Bay Dive Resort ended my trip on a high. The resort itself is kept beautifully. The pool area is clean and relaxing, then the added features of the swing chairs dotted around the grounds in just the right places give it that luxurious Cosy feel. The rooms are nice and big. Beds are comfy, bathroom is a good size and good working air con. Location is right next to the sea, although a 10 / 15 minute drive from anywhere it's no problem. But for the me, the staff made my stay. They are all so polite and friendly, they genuinely care and will do all they can to make sure you get the best out of your stay!

It was such a wow-mazing experience to get a great deal of stint in this clean and relaxing place. Place is stunning, food is awesome, and the people are wonderful. Who would have thought that I would even get the chance to have meaningful talks with the brain of this homey resort, the owner herself. Great little diamond in the rough!”
The dive shop, house reef, staff, and ambiance of Turtle Bay are excellent. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax and dive or snorkel, this is it! The room and food are all adequate, without extra frills. The only big negative is the drive to the resort. It can take up to 4 hours and motion sickness medication may be required if you are sensitive to motion. However, this location is worth it. The resort even provided us with a nanny so both parents could dive. We had a great experience.

Great spot really pristine rooms”
we stayed 4 night and had a cabana with our teen son next door in his own room. the resort was spotless and really well run. the owners are a friendly phillipina australian couple they arranged pick up from cebu city for us. the rooms had aircon, fans and were very clean. bathrooms were new and showers were hot. as it is a dive resort eating is buffet family style. food was filling and variety was good. we did a resort dive off beach which was great. they have a shelf off the shore so we managed to see turtles. maybe hence the name turtle bay!

Amazing snorkeling in front of the hotel”
We stayed at Turtle Bay Dive Resort for 2 days. Dive shop is very professional and not particularly more expensive than other places. It is very easy to go diving but also snorkeling and you can see amazing turtles just in front of hotel. During the day the hotel is very quiet most of the people go diving and either swimming pool or beach are really enjoyable. Rooms are big and clean. The BF is a bit disappointing and could be improved. Staff are vey helpful even though the service especially for lunch & diner can be very slow (at least one hour wait but you can pre order). But very smiley always ready to help to arrange the best for you. We will definitely recommend and go back to Turtle Bay Resort.

I went to the Turtle Bay Dive resort on two separate occasions to complete my Padi open water dive cert. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel at home :) The diving experience was unreal; My instructor (Henry Abrenica) was great! He was professional, friendly and very informative.

Loved every minute ”
Everything was amazing. The staff helped us with everything! From questions about diving, excursions, airport pickup and onward travel. The rooms were of a decent size, panagasama beach was around the corner, breakfast was amazing. I can't think of anything remotely negative to say about turtle bay! We had such a good time!!

Stay to get our 13 yo started in diving”
As the title infers, we stayed here to expose our son to diving and see how he liked it. The Discovery PADI program was perfect for him, the instructor CJ was fantastic. He was very courteous, patient and thorough in preparing our son for his first dive. We will return for him to further his education later this year. We are a Fil/Am couple residing in Carcar Cebu for 7 years now. We go to many different resorts/hotels on the island and as things go, this one was fairly nice. It is off the beaten path, but we liked that. The food process were reasonable so we tried eating in and it was really very good, well prepared, good selection and served quickly. Free breakfast is fine with us, basic and well prepared. Our breakfast server was a bit forgetful, ie: cream and no sugar..... forgetting juices, etc... .seemed she never get the hang of remembering everything everyday. Our male server was much better even offering more coffee upon observing an empty cup. (I know... but not normal for them to observe here so worth note). We also were celebrating our anniversary during the visit and had planned to go to Panagsama beach for dinner, but I inquired at the front desk, and she arranged cake and flowers..... very well done I might add... and so then I asked the chef about some off menu possibilities and she went to the market to get some fresh crab (my wife's fav) so we stayed in and were SO PLEASED with the effort that Jane, Jera and May put into making that night so special. They setup a special table in the area above the dive shop, flower petals and candles all around. A very well coordinated night, thank you to those three and the chef and front desk for a perfect celebratory evening for us. Internet is fine most days, I downloaded many updates and larger files without trouble, but we were in a room near the entrance gate so no signal there... .we simply camped out at the bar when we needed to get online. This hotel is amazing the staff, especially jean and don are jun jun are absolutely amazing! Everyone makes the effort to know your name and make it feel like home. The only con if you're an internet fiend is the wifi isn't very good- hardly ever works. For my friend and I this was a good thing as we were able to really relax. The snorkelling at the resort is amazing! We saw sea turtles everyday and so many cool fish and sea stars!! The diving instructor jun jun (henry) was so patient and nice and professional, he really helped us and we did our advanced scuba ceritification with him.

Lovely dive holiday”
Considering that our sole purpose to Moalboal, Cebu was to dive and to visit the whale shark at Oslob, Turtle Bay Dive Resort proved to be a good, albeit relatively pricey, place of accommodation during our 5-night stay. The accommodation at Turtle Bay is clean and adequate, the furnishing basic and functional. A good point to note though is that their qualifiers for rooms with a sea view is quite a stretch; I think there's only one villa with a proper sea view. The property is rather spacious, with plenty of room for kids to run around and the pool is sufficient. There aren't much choices for breakfast so best not be fussy. That said, the rest of the food offerings at the resort need dire improvement. Many of our meals were overpowered with lashings of salt. We were diving 3-4 times daily and it didn't make sense to head out for lunch, hence we had to dine in almost all afternoons. The staff were most accommodating though. As we were lazy to get out of our wet wetsuits in between dives and we're not allowed to dine in the restaurant with our wet wetsuits, the staff indulged our request to have our meals in the garden cabana. On the night when we ended our diving late with a night dive and had to wake up early for our Oslob whale shark diving expedition, they even managed to work out with a local pizza place to have pizza delivered for our dinner so we could save the hassle of going out of the resort. The resort's location meant we were close to many interesting dive sites; the house reef especially is spectacular during nightfall. The dive team at Turtle Bay were exemplary and fantastic, and were able to accommodate to the diverse range of diving skills of our entourage. Apart from the bad food and my biggest pet peeve that they don't provide complimentary bottles of water for guests, our stay at Turtle Bay Dive Resort was a pleasant one, made memorable by some awesome diving experiences.

Awesome resort, a hidden gem, coming back for sure”
this resort hidden on the coast of moalboal is a true gem that we are very happy to have discovered. its small with a maximum of 50 guests (when we were there it was just 11!), everything is super new and clean and i have never seen service like this, chris, fe and the staff go out of their way to make you happy and accommodate your requests. other than the name suggests, you can go there for at least a week without diving, there is lots to see and do. i would personally recommend this one to anyone who wants to escape the city live and recharge batteries in an environment that has crystal clear water, white sand beaches and is not crowded with tourists. but be aware that the next town with an atm is 1 hr drive away, if you want night life, shopping and the big city flair, this is not the right place. for everyone else i can very warmly recommend this one, we for sure will be back soon!

Gorgeous resort with friendly atmosphere”
had the best time here! the owners made me feel at home as all the guests ate together, talking about diving and their travels. i got my padi certificate here, and it was extremely convenient in all ways to do so. the place is separate to other parts of the area, which is fine for relaxing and diving, especially since it is self contained with excellent food in the restaurant. i got to see turtles swim right by me as i was underwater! by far one of my most favourite parts of this trip! went here as a last minute decision (to relax rather than dive) and am really glad about how it worked out. i also got to avail of the wifi. will definitely go back if i am in the area!

Nice resort which always made us felt welcome”
We stayed at turtle bay dive resort for 6days. The room was spacious and clean and the resort was nice. The staff was friendly and always greeted us with a smile. We felt welcomed. The dive center was easily accessible within the resort and the staff was helpful and friendly too. Location of the resort was some distance away from the restaurants so we had to take a tuk tuk out for meals on some nights, otherwise you could just settle for ur meals within the resort. The restaurant offers quite a variety of food with generous portion sufficient to share between two. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends.

Dive certs for my son and I”
We primarily booked here for our cert dives, but having been here before, knew we liked the resort very much. From food selections, amenities and location to some great staff we find this resort a very comfortable place to stay. Dives being our primary concern this trip....we were not diaappointed as CJ was not onpy very patient with our son as he learned, but informative and creative in our dive planning. Mom ebjoyed snorkeling and all in all, we highly recommend TBR as one of our favorites.

Excellent sea activities for family with young kids”
Pros: 1. Very friendly and professional staff 2. Reasonably priced meals, a tuna steak or grill squids as main course is about USD6-8 per meal 3. Great corals around the hotel for snokerling and kayaking. I even saw a wild sea turtle by snokerling around the hotel beach 4. 90min drive to Oslob to watch whale sharks 5. 30min drive to Kawasan Falls to see the waterfalls Cons: 1. Rather far away, 3-3.5 hr drive from Cebu airport 2. Its in a province and internet connection is poor. Whatsapp and Facebook are fine, but dont expect to watch movies on your labtop or ipad

4 night stay for touring Moalboal”
I stayed this resort with 2 friends and it was really top notch. There was some minor confusion when I booked as I needed a bigger "triple" room with 2 friends (3 adults total) but Don and I worked that out. Aircon was good, room was clean and good water heat/pressure, prices for rental snorkeling (I do not dive) was reasonable, breakfast was always good and enough to let me skip lunch while out doing stuff. If I had to mention a con it would be the road quality going to the resort is pretty rough. I understand that comes with being in the province and I guess kinda adds to the charm.
