Exceptional experience”
I would give this facility a 5 star overall as I outline my experience below based on a brief one day stay at this outstanding resort. Location: Strategically located walking distance to the Lighthouse beach on one side, with bus and auto stand less than 250m from the facility. Appearance: The building had a slight resemblance to an old castle and stood out distinctly because of its shape, rustic colour and the massive stone facade sprawling the entire front elevation of the building. Check-in: Upon arrival the bellman promptly carried my luggage and guided me to the front desk area where the smiling faces of the staff - Mary and Dinu - welcomed me. It was comforting to know that I didn't even have to sit at the front desk as they guided me to be seated in the guest waiting area comfortably on a leather sofa - quite similar to the experience of a first or business class check-in at the airport. Dinu had another staff serve me a cold and refreshing ginger flavoured lime (welcome) drink. Mary brought me a form to fill out my name and address details, after which I was guided to my room from an exterior back fully glass enclosed and air conditioned patio. (My luggage followed through the lift). The check-in area and guest seating area was all maintained very well especially considering the fact that there was plenty of glass walls all around the back side - for clear viewing of the sea and the rest of the resort building. Room: I opted for a deluxe room with no particular sea view preference. I got a room right next to the pool and having a partial view of the sea. It was roughly 500sq ft and split into 3 sections - (1)Outside the room seating area with a round coffee table plus four chairs (2)In the room - main bedroom area as you walk in, with TV, nightstands, sofa and (3)Finally the 3rd section separated from this bedroom area which is the wardrobe, suitcase stand and the bathroom with shower/bath tub facility. Feed Back - Turtle On The Beach”
I stayed 4 days and 3 nights with my wife & a 2 year old kid. We booked Arabian sea facing room. The room is very big and a big balcony facing Arabian sea. Beach is 200 meters from the resort. The morning breakfast is very good. I didn't like the lunch and dinner because we were looking for a traditional Kerala meals. It's better you try lunch and dinner outside. A bar on the floor no with an amazing sea view a nice play to hangout. Resort is very clean and hygiene. Staffs are very kind and we got the food they way we prepare at for kids at home as requested. I strongly recommend this resort and I rate 10/10.

One of the best place to stay near Kovalam beach. ”
Room was so clean & good. Pool was so neat. The hotel faculties were so polite. Just 5 mins walk to Kovalam beach. One of the best properties near Kovalam beach with affordable rates. Fora good restaurant , you should have to depend this hotel's restuarant (CATAMARAN ), which is so close to the pool or else you have to travel 12 kms towards Trivandrum town to find a good restuarant.

Excellent Staff & Service”
We took the Signature Suite - It was really really large and my 10 year daughter really enjoyed the space. The view of the beach, right from the bed, was unbelievably wide and good. The room had all facilities required and was clean. The lift/elevator couldnt go upto this floor, and we had to climb one floor. The staff was courteous and very friendly through out (across the board starting from the welcome area, dining area and every where). Food was also at its best, good variety for breakfast and economical for lunch. The swimming pool was very clean too and Kids pool was the right size for my 10 year old. My aged parents also joined for paid breakfast, but the front desk team was kind enough to allow them to join us in the room for a couple of hours. If you are an indoor type, this place is very good. The hotel does not have a direct access to the beach nor has an outdoor resort like area. The walk way to the common beach is pretty near though, hardly 5 minutes to the beach.

Should have little more choice for vegetarian and should give away single use water bottles to reduce carbon foot print and stop plastic menace. Instead can fill reusable glass bottles with RO water.

I should appreciate the hotel staff for making us feel special when you travel miles away. The food is quite expensive at the restaurant in the hotel and also nearby ones, but the quality is very high. Overall the hotel is such a heaven like feel for us. Just wish return back anytime if possible.

Ala Balinese Hotel”
Situated close to the beach but has no direct access. We were told when asked that hotel provides auto to the beach. There is a road outside the entrance of the hotel leading to the beach, we walked. The less than 1 km road is sloppy, hence returning got to hike up. Stayed in a suite, second floor, wonderful seafront view. Breakfast was sumptuous, though not a big spread. The vermicelli upma was especially very well done, yum and worth the mention. Could have more varieties of Keralite cuisine and fruits. Had chai and kulcha in the evening, equally delish. There is an infinite pool. Spa and Ayurveda services available with an in-house doctor. The staff are warm and hospitable, great hosts. Front desk Ms. Neha is one such pleasant and charming person. The place is kept clean and very green, making it eyesome. However, the rooms need lots of upkeeping and maintenance. For FabIndia fans, there is an outlet nearby.
