The stay at Udaan was very good. The staff was very accommodative and the rooms were clean. Special mention to the folks at the restaurant (Chumsang, Dawa, Shristy, Apurva) who gave us no oil and clean vegan food when requested. Very courteous staff, especially Dawa who is always around with a smile on her face despite the way she is treated. The folks at the reception Pratiksha and Bikash were very courteous too and helped us with all our needs. Yes, my wife made an effort to get each of their names:). Great resort and great service. Value for money.

One of the best place to stay in Gangtok”
Udaan woodberry is one the best places to stay in Gangtok. The food is awesome and pure vegetarian. The staff is wonderful and always eager to help. We were given a free upgrade to luxury rooms upon request. It is total value for money and the hotel is very clean and the rooms are good.

Good place to stay, highly recommended”
Nice place to stay, beautiful location with nearby waterfall and a scenic view. Clean hotel and rooms with friendly and courteous staff. I highly recommend it for all types of people, whether bachelors or family. Very nice Veg food. Only negative was that their Spa services got shut down since Covid struck.

The hotel is comfortable with wonderful service. Location is not very crowded nor very far from the main area. All things including daily essentials, cabs, medicines and alcohol are available at walking distance. Overall a great stay

At this Price there are better options”
We liked the 4star facilities+ service + Good food + but standard rooms where without views and cramped ...Suite rooms were still better but i guess there are definitely better options than this one if room is your priority. If food and service you can go with this

There were stains on sheets and comforter.. and although bathrooms were clean but smells very bad. Could keep oil heaters to make room little cozy.

Very polite staff... just one odd experience”
Staff was extremely polite overall in the hotel & in restaurant both. Only weird experience was on the first day when we checked in and asked for a heater and the person sitting on reception told us they don't give heaters anymore . He gave us several reasons why they have stopped providing heaters. So we spent that night without heater. Next day, I thought lets try asking for heater again as i wasn't convinced why such a high priced hotel won't be able to provide a heater and then i was told that they do provide heaters and they sent one immediately.

Very good stay, good hotel. But spa not working from 2 years as told. Should be removed from the name and guest to be informed about this specifically at booking. Pure vegetarian restaurant.

Our schedule check in time was 12.. we came to Hotel at 5 pm for check in but even then the hotel room was not ready. After our arrival, they started to clean the room and made us wait for 45 minutes at the reception. To top it, the reception staff was not at all apologetic and was rude in fact. Other than this, the hotel facilities were okay. Food option in breakfast was very limited

Extremely smaller standard rooms, poor maintenance and good food”
We booked standard room, They have couple of variants within that (07 series). There are are other standard rooms (05 series) which are regular size. These rooms are extremely small (even for couples) and not livable at all. They could not even fit extra bed, just 1 feet space around queen size bed. On top of it, there was no hot water in one of the rooms and mild electric shock. Though they had waived off extra bed charges for us (after long discussion), this is not great experience and I wouldn't choose this place. On the positive side, food was good but again sloppy serving though
