The best hotel ever!”
Great location..only three mins walk to JR Minami-kusatsu.There are bus stops,a park and Familymart nearby.We spent 2 nights with impressive feeling.The room is clean,comfortable,and well equipped.Staff are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice.After checking out at 09am in April 9,we left our luggage at the hotel and went visiting Himeji.Thereafter,we got some accident in Himeji so that we couldn't come back to get the luggage at the hotel that day.We called the staff and asked to leave the luggage over night.The staff was very nice.They kept our luggage without any extra charge.Thank you so much.

One fantastic little hotel”
Truly exceptional. The rooms are modern, we could literally look out the window at the train platform, there was a family mart between the hotel and station, the beds and pillows were great, and the included breakfast was the best I have eaten in Japan at any price.

Comfortable hotel and a practical location ”
The staff is friendly and professional. The room I had was sufficiently spacious and well appointed. The buffet breakfast was generous and included many fresh Japanese options and Western ones. The hotel is next to the Minami-Kusatsu station which has a direct link to Kyoto station. The rooms are modern and well insulated, and, the sounds from the train station were never an issue. Around the station, you can find restaurants, shops, convenience stores. I warmly recommend this hotel. The staff is very helpful, and Kyoto is only 30 minutes away by a direct local line. There are also many more places to explore around Lake Biwa. I particularly recommend hiring bikes and cycling around the lake, or hoping on a train and go to Nagahama.

Excellent stay”
I have travelled on business to Shiga and happened to look for accommodation in Shiga. I have came across this hotel which is very pocket friendly for value they provide. I am happy with their service but the only disappointment here is the staff doesn't know English. There's a huge language barrier to communicate with hotel staff. Apart from language constraint everything is okay. The best part of my stay is peaceful environment, near to railway station, many restaurants near by, spacious accommodation considering price point and Japanese standards.

The hotel is located just mins away from JR station, staffs were friendly n helpful , the luggages were in my room already when we came back to check in after a long day. Breakfast was yum , very pleasant stay , will definitely recommend to friends !

Great spot if you staying in this city. Train station and restaurants right out the front door. Rooms are small which is standard in Jdm land. Biggest down fall was parking lot is small and was full. Staff asked us to park at supermarket 2 blocks away and carry our luggage down the street. Was no impressed walking check in luggage 2 blocks in the rain from the typhoon. We already had flight delay and missed 1 night of stay, which we were offered no compensation for. 2 nights stay ended up just being 9 hours stay. Value for money is good for nightly rate

Great car park. No restaurant nearby”
It’s not easy to find their car park but they have clear indication when you reach the lift lobby... I booked a double room with a king size bed. Not much space for packing but relatively big comparing with other Japanese hotel. There were only 1 convenient store and a hotel restaurant. We needed to drive around 10mins to find restaurant or shopping mall eg AEON. Shower was powerful. Big plus.

When Kyoto becomes way too expensive, this works. Easy commute 20 minutes..try to avoid rush hours. Hotel is clean.. considering you are right at the train station, it is quiet. Nice staff, good breakfast.only english TV IS CNN. Beds are comfortable..smoke free

This is the best hotel that i stay in japan. This hotel very close to the Minami Kusatsu JR station. After exit the train station the hotel is just in front of us less time for us to find our hotel even this hotel is 15 min journey from kyoto staion. We love this hotel as bathroom was very clean the bed was so comfy to sleep. But during our stay the wifi connection wasnt good i would suggest people who travel to japan for rent a mobile wifi in the airport for use. Other than this i still will choose this hotel to stay if i travel to kyoto again.

our dream came true when we were back at this hotel in jan.2015. the friendly and helpful staff gave us a warm reception..my daughter also brought small gifts for receptionists..just to say thanks a million. she loved to play with snow..the whole kusatsu turned to a white dream land overnight .loved it so much. we learned to travel to kyoto and surrounding areas..it's a piece of cake for us now....people were also very helpful. kusatsu was simply beautiful and easy for us to learn the way of life here. did a lot of shopping!!! we felt good that the hotel was so close to the train station plus the convenient store..our room was warm and comfortable. we travelled light because we had a self service laundry in the hotel. we found the breakfast in the hotel was good and reasonable. we still want to be back... said.." yes, we will."

Acceptable price in kyoto”
Location a bit far from Kyoto city, need to take JR to Kyoto station then take bus to go where we want to go. But the JR Minani Kusatsu just next to hotel and bus station to Aeon mall just front of hotel. Hotel provided breakfast, but the room quite small, this is Japan style. Osaka station buy ticket 1140yen to JR minami Kusatsu take JR train , if take normal train need to reach Kyoto station change local train to JR minami Kusatsu, if take rapid service train straight away to reach JR minami kusatsu station, West Exit will see the hotel. Front of hotel have a JR machine to buy JR ticket, it is cheaper than you buy at JR station, but only from Minami Kisatsu to other places. From Minami Kusatsu original price 1140yen, but that sell 820yen. Take bus station no 2 at front of hotel to Aeon mall , reach there cost 500yen.
