Decent Stay but Extortion Late Checkout Scam”
Stayed here for one night. Decent parking and comfortable rooms. Walking up three flights of stairs was a hassle. Asked upon checking in if late 1pm checkout was possible and receptionist lady said yes. However, they called at 11am to say it would be 200 pesos for "late" 1pm checkout, which is crazy since nothing about that "fee" was mentioned upon check-in at all when I asked. Mosquitos in the CR for some reason. Room was comfy but hate the strict late checkout policy.

Good value, good location”
If you don't need a pool, restaurant or bar at your place of stay then Valentino's is a good place. Close to the entertainment area, clean rooms, and friendly staff made for a pleasant stay. Only complaint was the construction noise going on but nothing the staff could do about that as construction was happening next door.

Noisy - construction work 15ft from rear bedroom window”
Decent location, but all around it is a construction site so loud noise all day from 8am to 6pm 6 days per week - and loud is very loud!!! No breakfast served but plenty around. Wouldn't stay there again. But staff are good and rooms clean enough.

Building Construction Noise !!!”
Next to Valentinos Hotel there is a new building under construction . So every morning from 7,00 AM there is hammering and very loud construction noise . Not Hotel Valentino's fault - just telling future customers !!!

Compared to my past experience this hotel is not appealing..Staff has poor attitude to say the least”
Staff has a very stern look on their face when you arrive. No welcome, only "what do you want". Obviously a room I replied. She said we are booked. Well I have a booking I said. ...so you get the picture. I am here on vacation not deal with bad attitude. She advised me to come back at 2 PM check in time. Very few times I have to wait until 2 Pm sharp to check in. If room is available why not give it to the customer after all they have gone through travelling to get there. Room was clean but only 2 towels, not much else but I carry all toiletries with me. Water was low pressure not a big deal for me. The floor got wet and slippery, no floor mat so I had to sacrifice one towel. Small refrigerator, very small safe, room for my fanny pack only. Bed was twin only hard for 2 people, two skinny pillows, a thin blanket. I also did not like the lighting, too dim. Check out -- I slept late and in the morning 11 they woke me up - time to checkout at 12.

No elevator. Some staff not courteous. Construction..most rooms non or little sun light. For the same price can find pool side sunny room across street ..so poor deal here

Nice Hotel, Centrally located!”
I had a nice stay at Valentinos. It is a small hotel that is very conveniently located if you want a night out on Fields Avenue. The staff is friendly. It is not expensive to stay a couple of hours past check out. The rooms are celan and comfortable. No hassles from this hotel about anything. Only drawback is the lack of an elevator, so be prepared to get some exercise in climbing the stairs, other than that it is worth the stay. I have stayed there 3 times and it has never disappointed.
