Cheap room with beautiful balcony overlooking river”
Lovely host, felt more like a homestay due to friends, family and children always around and the hotel was also their home and the living space shared. Room was clean, good air con and great location right near the city centre. Room was hard as a rock!! By far the hardest in Vietnam and difficult to sleep, however i understand Vietnamese love hard beds. No kettle in room, they did provide one which didn't work but offered to bring us up a hot cup of water. Breakfast available for 30,000vnd per person which includes fruit, egg, bread roll and coffee or tea. Home cooked dinner also available upon request. Wifi ok, My TV with Fox Movies, cheap cold drinks including beer available from reception. Our room had balcony with view over rivers, the river area could do with a tidy to really make the scenery beautiful. Overall fantastic value , just wish the bed was softer

Although the food is nothing special, i cannot complain about the rest of this venue. Rooms are clean and spacious and they featured a balcony, air-condition and a big TV. If you need just a stopover here and a clean room to refresh, this place is a great deal!

The hotel is not difficult to find as it is right next to the main street. Just keep a look out for the sign. Checking in was a confusion as the lady who attended to us did not speak English. So, that was interesting. Booked with Agoda which told me to pay in USD, but on arrival, they only wanted VND. Lucky we had enough VND to pay. Food shops just 2mins walk away and the main market of this small town maybe 600m away. The market is rather quiet after Sunset. So please plan your visit before that. The rooms are clean and big enough. Everything works, so I have no complaints. The beds are rather hard and tough for me. Not much problem for the rest of the fellows I was with, So it really depends. The owner of the hotel would let guest part their motorcycles in the lobby. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Awesome for the price! Can put your motorbike inside for the night. Good room with shower. They even fixed my mirror. I went for a walk, came back and suddenly it was fixed! Great service overall!

We arrived after a great day on the bike, only to be brought back to earth with a crash. We'd left our passports in yen minh! The lovely owner didn't speak much english but she clearly wanted to help us so she lent me her phone to ring our previous accommodation. So kind! The room was huge and had plenty of blankets which were great as it was cold!!! Lovely shower too :) Not too far from the main town although there is plenty to eat and drink close by. A great find!

Shared bathroom was bleh. Everything else was super cute. The best bunkbed environnement I had, a shame that the matresses were super hard. But with an hostess like this, everything is forgiven. The best host you can ask for.

Amazing”
Absolutely fantastic. This is one of the best value and best room stays I've had in my travels in Asia. Our twin bed room was very spacious and had very comfy soft beds (not often the case around here), a riverside view and included breakfast. From my little accommodation research in town, it seemed like the nicest option and at the lowest price. The owners daughter runs another homestay nextdoor where you can go for free breakfast. On a small street with a handful of nice atmosphere dining options. Bao lac was just a stopover on the map for us on our way to cao bang but in the end if we had more time on the visa we would have happily stayed here for longer just to relax in this nice place.
