A love place to stay on the Isle of Skye”

The ‘Doocot’ where we stayed was so pretty! Everything about the room was perfect. It was bright and airy and the bed was super comfortable. There was plenty of space to hang clothes and even a sofa. The room was very clean and the bathroom was fab with a good shower. We had our dog with us and he enjoyed mooching in the lovely gardens and playing with pin and poppy! All the staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a good atmosphere around the hotel. The main house was fascinating! Breakfast was cooked freshly for each guest and was of a high standard. All made for a perfect stay

Nice bedroom pity about the rest”

The room an annex outside was very clean and bright. It needed a fan as it was very warm. Asked staff and told it would be cooler at night, it wasn’t and because of midges couldn’t open windows. Fans aren’t expensive.
The dining room was old and full and therefore was dark and not very appealing. For this reason and to get on road early we didn’t have breakfast on second day. Ordering system was also strange, not everyone knows what they want for their breakfast the next day. I know we are in a pandemic but surely breakfast can be cooked fresh to order. Staff not the friendless we met on our trip, not sure the hotel was there main attention. More like a B& B, expensive for this.

Breakfast was very nice. Good service and nice room (Dookot). Good location for walking around Portree. Beautiful house with nice decor.

Großartig und eine Wiederholung wert”

Das Frühstück war großartig mit einer Riesenauswahl und super nettem Personal. Toll finde ich, dass der Clan, der es vor 200 Jahren erbaute immer noch besitzt. Es gibt ein super gemütliches Morgenzimmer, in dem man abends Getränke bestellen kann. Von dort hat man über den Garten sogar einen Blick auf das Wasserbund die Berge.
