Stephen and Grace including all the staff are so hospitality and friendly, and of course especially their home-made dinner was also delicious and fresh! Awesome and warmest welcome ”
Great location for chocolate hills and tours located in Carmen. Friendly staff and welcoming to guests. They were very accommodating towards our requests and also very attentive. Breakfast options are awesome and Dinner was fantastic and very tasty. Pictures don’t justify, it was more than I had expected and it’s a wonderful set up. Rooms are great and beds are comfortable for a remote location in Carmen. I would stay here again and I hope they continue to deliver a great service for many more years to come. Hosts and staff are all helpful and very good at what they do.

Cosy homestay ”
Chocolate Hill View point is 4km west of Carmens. If you don't have your own transport, just flag down a bus. We enjoyed the dinners on the big table having conversation with the other guests.

Not gonna stay there again”
Generally, Boholanos are very nice. We were lucky to meet Tere who invited us to her place to eat dinner and drove us to this place after. The owner was nice and willing to help and gave advice for places to visit. We picked this coz we wanted to be closeby the chocolate hills and it was. Roughly 6km to Chocolate Hills Adventure Park which was suggested to us by the owner. 50 pesos/person on a habal-habal. We had fun there definitely recommendable. Room was horrible though. We arrived around 9pm and were placed in a room at the back side of the villa. At first look, room was simple, and without side tables or hooks to hang our stuffs. That was alright but what bothered us in our stay was the room was infested with different kinds of insects. There was a cockroach in the bathroom and a lot of big ants on the floor and on our bed. I woke up several times and found ants around me. Removing and killing each one of them. Thinking back still gives me goosebumps. The villa looked nice in the living room with unfinished yard but that specific room wasn't. Will not stay there again. It's overpriced compared to other places we booked and was a lot comfortable.

The staff had issues with Agoda. They require advance payment prior checking in eventhough Agoda stated that you could pay directly to the property. If you do not pay, they would give your booked accomodation to someone else.

Carmen is not a place to stay”
we arrived, the hostest informed us Agoda do not pay them so we had to pay again, they say it is a normal problem, we decided to stay and had no water for the first night, no shower no toilet?????? no way I would ever recommend this place

Quaint place. Not many other options in the area. Carmen is rural, small. The staff/owners take care of everything - breakfast, lunch, dinner; well versed in local attractions. Good selection on the menu, fair prices. No issues.

Espace paisible et agréable”
Nous avons été très bien accueillis. Notre chambre était propre, bien équipée au niveau de la climatisation et du wifi. Cependant il manquait peut être une petite table ou des tables de nuit. L'hôte nous a bien aidé pour la mobilité, car même si c'est proche de chocolate hills, c'est un peu perdu. Merci !

Comme à la maison”
Parfait pour rayonner vers les principaux sites de l'ile (loin des plages, attention!) Cadre convivial et nourriture bonne, à la demande. Le cadre est champêtre et reposant. La chambre n'est pas très grande ni la salle de bain mais la literie est excellente (il nous a juste manqué une chaise). Les dames de l'accueil et du service sont adorables. Par contre nous déconseillons de prendre les tours proposés, chers et non fidèles à la description. Un van sale et bruyant avec plein de boue sur les fenêtres nous a conduit dans un site qui ne correspondait pas (la réserve des tarsiers n'était pas la bonne), et dans une ferme aux papillons (sympa mais on pouvait s'en passer) Quant à la rivière Loboc : sans intérêt et très loin. Du coup le temps qui nous était "imparti" -4 heures! dixit le règlement- était expiré et nous avons dû faire les Chocolate Hills par nous-mêmes en nous débrouillant et en payant de notre poche!!! Aucun dédommagement proposé. Honteux. A éviter!

Accueil chaleureux, hôtes aux petits soins et très serviables. Chambres propre, confortable et très calme. Repas et petit déjeuner excellents cuisinés sur place. Endroit charmant et reposant. On ne peut que conseiller de séjourner à Villa del Carmen
