Perfect for just sitting around”
Location: very easy to find as it is located along the main road. Food: not much food choices but everything in the menu tastes good. This place is perfect for just doing nothing all day. During our stay, there were only a few guests so we were able to enjoy the relaxing and quiet ambience of the place. They have kayaks for rent but other than that there are no other activities in the resort. So if you're looking for adventure this may not be the right place for you.

the good -spacious rooms -heated indoor pool with jacuzzi -pool has comfortable loungers and pool toys/ floaters -friendly restaurant staff -fast wifi -fuss-free checkout the not-so-good -cockroach in the room!!! -not enough floor mats/rugs to wipe wet feet on, so the floor gets slippery -no faucet/ facility for rinsing when coming from the beach (this means guests track sand into their rooms)

GREAT STAY”
One of the best accommodations I had for this year! The room and CR -- very spacious. There's cable TV and ref inside. The WiFi is fast. You'll literally feel the vacation that you deserve. They also have pool inside with Jacuzzi. Their restaurant is located on the edge of the beach that makes the experience more chill and relaxing. The staffs were very consistent in terms on being so accommodating and approachable. We stayed for 3 days and they will greet you all the time when they see you around. *There's a beach in front of the resort. I'd say it's average. If you want to feel the fine sand beach in La Union where surfing is known, then you have to go to San Juan. That's around 25-30 min ride from the resort (Bauang).

It is well maintained, clean and good located. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. And yes, breakfast was good. But it is quite old that their plumbing does not work well. An upgrade could make the resort a much better place.

Room is large and clean. AC is excellent. Food a little pricey but tastes okay. Very good hot and cold shower. You will just need to pay an extra 50.00 if you would request for a change of bath towels. Nonetheless, our stay is great.

Still Good, But Needs Upgrades Here and There”
The facilities are still spic and span, exactly the way I remember it from the mid-2000s. And their rooms are huge for the price you pay for! But the bathrooms inside their guest rooms need to be updated: tiles are broken, shower faucet is hard to operate, door is hard to close; exhaust fan is dirty, etc. Food is reasonably priced, and we were surprised many of the items were actually very good.

Nice place to Unwind ”
The place is easy to locate since it's just within the Highway, Place is well maintained even it's too old already. You can take your breakfast, lunch or dinner on their Resto over looking by the sea it is also have Live Music Band and Acoustic just like you were on a fine dining, The Pool also add up it was clean, clear and warm even it is indoor. Parking is not a problem because they have covered parking. The only problem we encounter in our stay is the Disco sounds which is located in the 2nd floor of the Hotel you can heard it inside your room since it is not sound proof. But over all it is worth the money.

Worst hotel ive stayed! There’s a cockroach in our food!”
This may have to be the worst hotel experience to date. We arrived late lunch and decided to eat in the resort’s restaurant. Not only that the food is mediocre but seeing cockroach in your food just ruined everything. Although management talked to us a couple of hours after the incident , this experience is something that cannot be appease by anything. We were even shock when we were asked to pay for the food the was eaten by the rest of our party. In addition to the unsanitary food handling, the hotel itself is unappealing and not at par to the pictures on line. Overall I will be careful when you decide to stay here.

A stone's throw away from San Juan (Urbiztondo Beach)”
Booked the trip last minute, and was very lucky to find this gem of a hotel. PROS: 1. It is located at Bauang Beach, which is about 10km from the main San Juan Beach area, and that isn't too bad IMHO. 2. The resort is beachfront, and the beach was OK for swimming versus the beach at San Juan, which is more conducive for Surfing (lots of waves). 3. The room we got was huge, very good value for money. CONS: 1. The TV remote (I think) of most rooms have been replaced with China models, where not all the functions of the TV works. Tip: you can borrow the original/master remote from the front desk, but would have to surrender immediately again after use. 2. The breakfast buffet lacked choices IMO. In the 2 days we stayed, we were served the same fish twice. Though this may have only been an aberration due to that it was Holy Week. Overall, very solid stay at Villa Estrella. Good choice if you can't get any accommodations at the San Juan side.

Pleasant stay”
Villa Estrella maintains clean and well kept rooms and cr. The beds are spacious and conducive for rest. The small indoor pool has sparkling clear cold water with jacuzzi features and water continuously pumped by its minifalls. A foul smell that wafts in the area is however a turn off. The resort is a beachfront property but do not expect to play sand by the beach as the shore is very elusive. During high tide, sea water would cover the shore with waves hitting the restaurant walls. We were blessed with a low tide thus a chance to swim in the ocean. The breakfast is plated and won't satisfy a big appetite. But they were generous with brewed coffee. Restaurant meals are expensive yet not impressive. I recommend this for a good night's rest and we will definitely go back. P.S. wifi is strong in room 6 and the restaurant.

Last minute booking”
We booked our room on the day itself and though there were not much options available anymore, we were still very glad that we chose Villa Estrella. We liked the location, the hospitality of the staff, the size and cleanliness of the room, the pool area and the spectacular view of the sunset. Only set back was the sea area wasn't very conducive to swimmers as there were moss-covered rocks that might be dangerous/slippery. The food is also a bit pricey for the quantity. But over-all, it was a wonderful experience. We will definitely recommend this to our friends.

Room is large and clean. Food is very good and staff is friendly. Live entertainment in the dining room during the evening. Very nice pool and jacuzzi. The wifi actually works well which is kinda unusual in this area. Highly recommend Villa Estrella!
