Interesting experience ”
This is a nice hotel outside of the city. Staff are friendly and helpful. You will need to take local transit to get to the main attractions in town. The hotel is very busy with locals using the gym facilities however the sauna and whirlpool closes early so does the restaurant and bar. The restaurant is extremely cold and not much variety for breakfast options. Our room was ok however there was no mini fridge or safe which made us difficult to secure valuables or purchase drinks to keep cold after the bar/restaurant is closed. Also the tub is quite difficult to get into if you don’t have long legs. For those who have never been to Scotland there are cobblestone road and a lot of uneven payment. I ended up rolling my ankle. We were able to get ice in order to reduce swelling however in the 3rd day told that we had to reuse a very large clear plastic bag. Interesting experience .

Disappointed”
Hotel looks great with the facilities Bar was good but didn’t try the food Had to pay extra to use swimming pool which was unexpected No room service throughout stay of 3 nights, even after I complained at front desk and made a request direct to cleaners. No new towels, no bed made even tea, coffee and milk was not replaced throughout stay! I view of this fact would not use this hotel again, it was over priced at £163 per night (£505 for the 3 nights stay) I would add that the reception staff were friendly albeit didn’t action my complaint about room service

Really good Hotel to stay. Staff were friendly was nice and clean and the pool and spa was excellent. Met some really nice people too. The taxi service from the hotel was really good too. Would definitely stay here again and rate it 5 stars to everything

Decent for the price. I probably wouldn't have breakfast there again, could be better but it was only a tenner so no Biggie.

Not impressed! ”
I’ve stayed at village hotels before in other locations and mostly had a great stay but this time was very disappointing. Check in was a bit of a shambles where we queued for a while and then finally told we could use the self check in screens. It had already crashed before we try to use it and had an error on the screen, we needed to check in with a receptionist only they had just walked off and left us to it. Still had to wait another 10mins or so before we got checked in by someone. When finally getting to our room we wanted to freshen up before heading into the city centre and went for a shower, only to find mould in the shower and the water was lukewarm at best! We then went down for a drink before getting the bus and we got sat nice and quickly by a staff member in the bar but then we were asked what drink we wanted before we even sat down! Asked if we could see a menu and was told no as it wasn’t up to date. So we were put on the spot and asked in a rushed manor to make an decision, bit uncomfortable. Come morning we went down for breakfast at 9am, we were seated quickly and given menus and told it was table service due to Covid which is very understandable. So we ordered at 0910 and asked for full breakfast, eggs and beans on toast and coffee. We got the coffee after 5mins and then sat and waited, and waited, and waited come 10am we still hadn’t been served breakfast! Other tables were coming in after us and were being served before us. We had to ask a member of staff where our breakfast was and then finally after an hour of waiting we got our food. It’s was cold and the egg was under cooked. We were that hungry and fed up that we just ate what we could and just left. Waiters were wondering about looking where to put other breakfasts and looked lost! It was a shambles. Charging guests for that breakfast is a bit of a joke and should be in the price of the hotel room if that’s how they do breakfast service. We won’t be staying at that hotel again.
