"This is a superb hotel. Small and Friendly with great staff. Our room was lovely and everything worked fine and the place was spotless. The hotel is near a road which although not a main road runs along the river. There is some road noise but this is inevitable giving it's location and no different from anywhere else in Siem Reap. It did not distract from our stay at all. We booked a car and driver and a guide for two consecutive days and it was the best money we ever spent. Not only was the guide knowledgeable but we got to see the temples when most people weren't there! At some temples it felt like we where the only ones there! This allowed us to get some great photos although we didn't bother to get up for sunrise (which can be hit and miss). TIP: When you go to lunch, take the driver and guide with you. Although you'll have to pay for their meal the advice and interesting stories are well worth it! The guide was suprised when we offered for them to eat with us which I thought strange (only 1 in 20 people do apparently) and they miss out on a great deal of extra information. Cold bottled water was plentiful in the car and the air conditioning much appreciated although only 32 degrees. The food in the Hotel was superb and my only regret was not eating there more often but I always for some reason tend to head out into town which is a 5-10 min walk or a $1 tuk tuk ride. In all a great four days and I would return in a flash. Remember however to tip locals as there basic wages are very low. A dollar here or there is well received. Take US dollars in smallish bills $20 or less. There is a supermarket just around the corner if you need anything. WiFi works but don't expect to download a movie in HD. Buying a Smart Sim for $10 at the airport gives you 4G in nearly all places and 3G elsewhere. We also had a complimentary meal which I though would be a bit lack lustre but turned out to be one the best we had whilst we where there."

"The Resort is super beautiful with giant swimming pool with the most welcomed service. Staff was so friendly and helpful to organize activity for us during our trip in Siem Reap. The food was so tasty with variety of choice breakfast. We would definitely come back again. "

"Very much enjoyed my stay in Siem Reap and this hotel. Hotel is located along a long quiet street about 20mins walk from the town centre and 10mins to the riverside area which has a good selection of restaurants and cafes. Room had a good bed, reasonable shower (with relatively constant water temperature - very good for Asia) and was cleaned well every day. Staff are very helpful and always happy and polite. Had a couple of instances of power loss but quickly restored each time. Internet was better than expected with only minor interruptions (again good for Asia) and the only other issue was the garden is yet to be finished - hotel recently changed hands so they are working on improvements. Breakfast has 5 set menu choices which were all ok, fried rice option was my favourite (coffee not so good). Overall it's a nice place and good value for the rates charged. Siem Reap itself is quite a busy town typically with lots of scooters so need to take care when crossing the roads (feels a little like the Greek island towns 20yrs ago). It has a small river running through the town that has pathways all along both sides so nice for a stroll with busy bridges every 5mins or so along the route. The temples, floating villages and other sight seeing places are not so busy and very much worth seeing with Angkor Wat a very impressive must see visit for all travellers to the region. The Cambodian people, friendliness and politeness are a very welcome change from my current life in China and most can hold a conversation in English making everything much easier for a relaxing break. Although I have several more places I plan to visit while living in Asia I will almost certainly return to Cambodia again for another short R and R break. Loved the place, loved the people. "

"Isann is a little gem of a place in siem reap. It's so thoughtfully designed and our room was enormous! Our first night we got in after the restaurant closed and they went and bought us instant noodles and fruit from down the street and brought it to the room, which was so thoughtful and kind of saved us from a low blood sugar nightmare. The restaurant is fantastic and the pool was such a welcome treat after long days biking around the temples. The only thing is that it's a little ways out from the busy parts of town so we did have one tuk tuk driver get lost trying to get us back to the hotel, but it all for sorted. Wonderful place overall!!!! "

"My husband and i loved our stay at Sojourn. The staff is top notch and and very helpful, definitely one of the best service I have experienced in a hotel. The hotel’s tuktuk drivers too were super nice, and made our rides very comfortable; they carried along bottled water and wet towels for us during our day tours. The rooms are aesthetically pleasing, and I especially loved the bathroom which are very spacious. Its evident that a lot of thought has been put into every little detail in the property. The room had a free minibar which was awesome. We found a few mosquitoes in our room (probably entered during the room cleaning) and the staff promptly bug-sprayed it. The property is located in a village and is very serene. On the flip side, it's a little far from the main town (a 15min tuktuk ride away). The village road stretch that leads to the property is bumpy and dusty. Overall, I'd highly recommend staying here. It's definitely one of Siem Reap's best boutique hotels. I stayed at one other boutique hotel in Siem Reap (similar room rates), and it was no where close to Sojourn's service. I was a little sad while checking out of Sojourn."
